About Scott Magnesen

Scott Magnesen founded The MPW Group in 1982 and has been a Morgan Stanley financial advisor for 35 years.  The MPW Group handles $5.5 billion in assets under management for its clients, as of March 1 2022.  Every day, Scott works closely with new and existing clients to help them achieve their financial goals.  A graduate of Northwestern University, Scott has also completed an advanced studies program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  In 1994, Scott was honored as a National Broker of the Year by Registered Representative magazine, and has been named one of the “Top 100 Advisors” by Barron’s (2004-2015).  In 2016, Scott was named to the list of “Top 100 Advisors” by Forbes magazine & has been featured on the Financial Times “Top 400 Advisors” list year after year.  In 2007, Scott was honored to be named a Managing Director for Morgan Stanley.  He is also a frequent guest on WBBM’s Noon Business Hour.
