About Michael Rifkin
Mike Rifkin is a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He has over 30 years of investment industry experience, starting at Shearson American Express, which later transformed into Smith Barney
and Morgan Stanley.
As the youngest of four siblings, Mike adopted two guiding principles early in life that have served him well both personally and professionally. First, he realized that the foundation of success is based on making sound decisions; and second, it all starts with empathy.
Fortunately, he has been able to apply these principles in various ways over the years. He graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a degree in Management, and then went on to earn his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 1988, helping him to create financial plans that are tailored to each client’s specific needs and long-term goals.
While he has served in several managerial positions, his true passion is working directly with clients. As both a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®), he is ideally suited to do so.
Mike is also an active member in the community, has served on the board of the National Adoption Center as President, and resides in Chester County with his wife Madeline. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family, which includes his three adult children Kristen, Matthew, and Jillian, and with his first grandchild Ryan Patrick.
