        About Me

        Ernie works with our clients to identify and articulate their goals, and create comprehensive strategies to help achieve them. With over 25 years of experience in financial services, he has developed a structured methodology to build an effective, proactive wealth plan for each client.

        Ernie began his career in banking, with roles that included investment analysis, lending, and financial planning. This background means his clients benefit from his extensive experience in fixed income investing, credit and high-level client service.

        Ernie earned a B.S from Central Michigan University, where he double-majored in Accounting and Finance, with a minor in Computer Science. He also earned an MBA from Eastern Michigan University with a concentration in Finance.

        Ernie lives in Brighton, MI with his wife of more than 30 years. They have two children who are attending college and graduate school respectively. He enjoys winter sports, lake sports, home construction and remodeling, and has a passion for railroad cabooses.

        About Me

        Hal has been envisioning and creating goal-based investment portfolios for clients for more than 30 years. Prior to that, he worked in corporate financial planning at Xerox Corporation after nearly 4 years in the US Army where he reached the rank of Captain. 
         
        Drawing on his wealth of knowledge and experience, Hal has developed a series of core principles: 1) always start with a goal, 2) stick to the basics when possible, 3) creative diversification is crucial, 4) plan ahead but 5) always have a contingency plan. Hal is also a student of Behavioral Finance, which he believes has a greater impact on investment outcomes than the mathematics of finance.

        Hal earned a B.S. in Psychology from Michigan State University, where he also later received a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He also holds the prestigious CERTIFIED INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT ANALYST® designation, reflecting his knowledge, skills and commitment to the highest ethical standards.
         
        Hal and his wife live in Plymouth, MI. They enjoy spending time with their 5 children and 13 grandchildren. He follows politics and macroeconomics, and believes that public policy should be integrated in portfolio construction.

        Judy has over 16 years of experience in financial services, in a variety of roles including planning, investment analysis and client service. She spent 12 years home schooling her children, then resumed her career in financial services, so she can leverage her experience to help clients manage their complex financial lives.
         
        Judy earned a B.A. from Hope College, with a double major in Business Administration and Psychology. She also earned a MBA from the University of Colorado in Denver.
         
        She lives with her husband of 27 years near Ann Arbor. They have two adult children. In her spare time, Judy enjoys cycling, and both downhill and cross country skiing. She is an avid reader, particularly historical fiction, economics, and behavioral finance, and recently started a new hobby – machine quilting.
