About Carlos Garcia

Carlos is a Vice President, Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager. He has over 44 years of financial services experience. What he loves most about being an advisor is helping families and corporations achieve their goals while reaching new levels of financial success. Maybe it’s because he’s a coach and mentor by nature or maybe it’s because of his lifelong interest in finance. Either way, Carlos has developed a deep passion for helping others successfully navigate the complexities they face. This is not just a job for him; this is his life.

Born in Cuba and migrating to the U.S. in 1965, Carlos and his family settled in Tarrytown, New York, where he lived until he graduated from Pace University with a BBA degree in accounting. Upon graduation, he joined Hilton Hotels Corporation, where he worked for the next 30 years in a variety of roles, including Senior Vice President of Operations Finance. In this position, Carlos was responsible for overseeing the financial performance of approximately 350 hotels across North and South America. In 2016, he made a career-changing decision to join Morgan Stanley to share his years of institutional experience with individuals and families. His corporate background provides a unique perspective, delivering a “big picture” vision with careful oversight of the details that can make a significant difference over time.

Over the years, Carlos has developed a results-driven process that focuses on building personal relationships with his clients to understand the specific goals they’ve set for themselves and their families. His approachable style helps clients make well-informed decisions while maintaining the discipline necessary to navigate today’s challenging markets. This commitment has earned Carlos firm recognition. He was named a “PaceSetter” at Morgan Stanley in 2017 through 2024.

Carlos believes balance is vital to a happy life. Outside of the office, his life centers on a love for his family and staying active. He lives in Westlake Village with Terri, his high school sweetheart and wife of 42 years. Favorite leisure activities include golf and being a member of North Ranch Country Club, exercising, and taking long walks with his wife and their two dogs, Frankie and Jesse.
