Meet The Dalton Group

About Stephen P Dalton

Stephen started his career as a financial advisor at Butcher and Singer in 1985. He later joined Smith Barney with his eldest brother James in 1998. Stephen is firmly committed to long term relationships and strives to deliver exceptional client service. He listens carefully to their goals, values, aspirations and concerns; based on this input, he then works attentively to help them in achieving their financial objectives.

Working closely with you, Stephen will develop an investment strategy focused clearly on your objectives—one that reflects your lifestyle expectations, cash flow needs, risk tolerance and aspirations for your family. From there, he will help you build a portfolio informed by the resources and insight available from Morgan Stanley*, one of the world's largest financial firms.

When you look at wealth management from a long-term perspective, one thing becomes clear: it's your future, not just your money. And over time, Stephen can help you navigate the noise and distractions of challenging markets, providing a disciplined sense of focus on what's most important—your progress toward your goals.

Stephen has the knowledge and experience necessary to manage investments on an ongoing fully discretionary basis, while providing objective advice on critical financial matters. Stephen graduated from Penn College in 1978 and is a fully licensed investment advisor for over 27 years.

In his spare time, Stephen enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his five children. He and his wife, Teresa, have been married for more than 28 years. They have live in Lewistown, Pennsylvania for most of their life. Stephen is also an active member of Knight of Columbus for over 20 years and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association for over 7 years. About Amy Dalton

Amy Dalton is a First Vice President Financial Advisor working with the Dalton Group, a wealth management team located in State College, PA. Amy’s focus is to help empower, educate, and engage the clients she works with so they feel comfortable and confident when making financial decisions. Amy’s role is to help you by using your wealth to achieve what is most important to you. This could mean providing an education to children and grandchildren, buying a vacation home, meeting the special needs of a family member, retiring ten years early — the list is endless, and the decision is uniquely your own. Amy will work with you to translate your goals into specific investment objectives and personalized investment strategy. And then, drawing on the team’s experience — and perspective informed by the insight and resources of one of the world’s largest financial firms — She will structure a portfolio for you, executing and refining that strategy to help bring you closer to your definition of investment success. As a family team, we bring a distinct perspective to complex, multigenerational challenges of managing significant wealth. We understand the joys and the stresses of working alongside your children, siblings, and parents, and how those roles evolve over time. When we speak about wealth transfer, family business succession, and other issues that are central to building an enduring legacy, we’re hyper-aware of its importance to you. We know that the key to successful wealth and accumulation is not about the importance of its absolute number, but more about the people whose lives it touches.

Amy started her career at Smith Barney in Harrisburg, PA and has been with the legacy firms since 2001. In 2004, she relocated to DC and worked as a Consulting Group Analyst for Graystone Consulting, an institutional platform at Morgan Stanley. Amy worked in this role for 6 years and was responsible for both investment analysis and performance reporting, technical issues, and accounting services. Amy was an advocate for the Graystone teams and their clients by understanding and representing their views, priorities, and opinions on key operational and accounting issues. While there, Amy received the 2008 Association of Professional Investment Consultants Pat Nicholson Award for outstanding service and accomplishments as a technical analyst. In 2009, Amy was awarded the Consulting Group Technical Analyst of the Year for her dedication and innovation in enhancing client reporting and portfolio analysis. Amy completed the Financial Advisor Associate program as a Pacesetter in 2013. In 2022, Amy took an opportunity to relocate to Camp Hill, Pennsylvania as a branch manager before returning to the State College office as a Financial Advisor with The Dalton Group.

7Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan’s investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan’s flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan’s investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state’s own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state’s tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.
