Maya Joined Morgan Stanley’s Greater Michigan Leadership team as the Market Business Service Officer. She plays a pivotal role in enhancing the client experience by leading and supervising service and business functions across the market. Collaborating with the Market Management Team to implement strategic initiatives, foster a strong market culture, and ensure exceptional client service. This role involves mentoring a team of Business Service Officers and Service Managers, managing risk, and maintaining compliance with firm policies. Also acting as a key liaison between the market and Home Office departments, standardizing operational procedures and overseeing market expense management.
Maya, a former Vice President and Banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Grand Rapids, excelled in providing personalized financial services to affluent individuals and families in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. She was dedicated to understanding her clients' values and aspirations, offering tailored guidance in wealth management, business succession planning, and multi-generational wealth strategies. Leveraging J.P. Morgan's extensive resources, Maya helped clients navigate investment, lending, banking, planning, and philanthropy. Her passion for empowering women to manage and grow their assets was fueled by her experience as a business owner. Maya's unique ability to build personal connections with clients and partners was central to her approach, ensuring she delivered financial peace of mind by genuinely listening to each client's story.
Maya has spent more than eighteen years in the financial services industry. She began her career as a teller with Fifth Third Bank following her move to the U.S. and, in the years since, rose to senior-level, as Branch manager and Advisor positions at PNC Private Bank. Her strengths include strategic and targeted planning, problem solving and strong organization, project and time management and strong proficiencies in leadership, facilitating employee development through coaching mentoring and training.
Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Maya earned a B.S. in Insurance Studies from St. Joseph University. Formerly, she participated with Coralus, a global community of passionately generous people, and currently on the executive leadership team of Go Red for Women, with the American Heart Association. And the Board of Directors of the Kalamazoo Symphony.
Maya lives in Kalamazoo with her husband and 13-year-old daughter. She enjoys cooking together as a family and traveling to experience other cultures and cuisines.
