The Vista Group at Morgan Stanley

Our Mission Statement
Meaningful financial planning for your life and legacy
Welcome to The Vista Group; Providing Vision and Perspective for Your Financial Future
Managing wealth involves far more than managing an investment portfolio. It begins with developing a holistic, comprehensive understanding of who you are and the financial forces at work in your life.
It means helping you understand and respond effectively to these forces. And, of course, it means helping you invest your assets in a way that reflects the realities of your life and the uniqueness of your long-term goals.
As the financial world becomes more complex and investment choices multiply, careful planning becomes more important to helping you achieve your financial goals.
As Financial Advisors, our role is to help you use your wealth to achieve what is most important to you. We are committed to building a relationship of trust.
We work with you to help you develop a strategy that lays out a clear path to your goals — a strategy that we develop in collaboration with you, and one that you can follow with confidence in the face of the market’s ups and downs.
Drawing on the team’s experience — and perspective informed by the insight and resources of one of the world’s largest financial firms — we will translate your goals into a specific Investment objective and personalized investment strategy, structure a portfolio, implement and continually refine the strategy to help bring you closer to your definition of investment success.
In short, your goals become our focus, and working towards them becomes a commitment that we share.

About John Rochester
John Rochester is the founder of the Vista Group, a financial advisory team located in Santa Fe providing leading advice to individuals, as well as charitable organizations. He has been in the financial service industry for 31 years having been affiliated with Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and its predecessor firms. John has a long history of local and national philanthropy having served on numerous boards ranging from the arts to food insecurity, education, LGBTQ issues and animal rights. He has been awarded a number of distinguished accolades for his dedication including the “2007 America’s Promise National Volunteer of the Year” award, a “Presidential Point of Light Service Award” in 2007 and the “2000 Code of the West Volunteer Service Award”. He was also recognized in 2014 as one of the “10 Who Made a Difference” in Santa Fe. John is continuing his philanthropic service as a member of the New Mexico State Arts Commission, Treasurer of the Presbyterian Health Foundation Board, and Trustee for The Museum of New Mexico Foundation.

11The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) aware investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.
