About Matt Corcoran
An experienced Financial Advisor and co-founder of The Quaternion Group at Morgan Stanley, Matt has dedicated his career to serving the lending needs of successful professionals, business leaders, and families. He helps clients design strategic debt solutions using Morgan Stanley’s suite of lending products, which include securities-based loans, residential mortgage and commercial real estate loans. Matt helps clients to think strategically about how they manage debt, customizing solutions that aim to keep debt service as low as possible while planning for future liquidity events and life changes.
Growing up in a military family, Matt had the opportunity to move around the country and meet a broad and diverse group of people. This experience gave him a life-long interest in understanding how various people analyze and make decisions about what’s most important to them and their families. It also cultivated a desire to create strong, lasting relationships with others by understanding their personal stories – what motivates them, how they make decisions, and how they define success; valuable skills that have become the foundation of his successful career in wealth management.
After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. degree in Finance, Matt worked at Wells Fargo as a Private Mortgage Banker and Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Management Banker before joining Morgan Stanley in 2016. He combines technical expertise with an easy-going, client-focused approach, both during the loan process and post-closing. He brings this depth of knowledge to The Quaternion Group, a unique advisory team that combines a broad spectrum of skills to help ensure a client’s needs and goals are fully addressed.
Today, Matt calls Tampa his home where he lives with his wife, Alissa, and their two young daughters. Favorite leisure activities include playing the guitar, fly fishing, and travelling domestically and abroad, a passion he continues to enjoy to this day.
