Our Story and Services

With 50 years of combined industry experience, the Moise Horn Team work with families and individuals to create custom investment and comprehensive financial plans. Our team, Davis Moise, Financial Advisor, Ben Horn, Financial Advisor, and Drew Kurtz, Wealth Management Associate, joined the industry directly out of college and have all followed our passion for assisting a select group of clients meet their financial goals. We realize that the families we serve have earned their wealth through many years of hard work, commitment and passion, and we strive to embody those same attributes in everything we do for our clients.

Both Davis and Ben are Portfolio Management Directors and focus on individual portfolio construction using individual stocks, ETF’s, mutual funds, municipal bonds, and fixed income securities. Ben and Drew have both achieved the Certified Financial Planner™ designation and focus on comprehensive financial planning to help clients meet their financial goals.

Ben Horn grew up in Ohio, where his Father was a golf pro. Ben had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with businessmen at the country club where his father worked. He has always liked statistics and helping people and after spending a day with one of the members (who was a financial advisor) when he was 12, he knew this was his calling.

Davis is originally from Sumter, South Carolina and earned his Bachelors in Finance (1991) and MBA in Financial Services (1993) from the University of South Carolina. His father started as a financial advisor in 1958 and ran a successful practice until 2019. He grew up around the business and has always been a student of the financial markets.

Drew grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, with parents both in financial services. Drew has always been passionate about helping others, and during a college internship with a financial advisor, she found a way to combine her passion with her interest in financial markets.

About Ben Horn

For the past 23 years, I have worked at Morgan Stanley, one of the preeminent financial services firms in the country. I proudly serve as the primary Financial Advisor for a select group of families in the Carolinas and throughout the country.

As your Financial Advisor, we will work together to create and manage a customized goals-based, comprehensive financial game plan utilizing the resources of Morgan Stanley. I take great pride in helping my clients navigate the uncertain investing climate and unpredictable life events, to stay on course and achieve their goals through patience, discipline and stewardship.

I realize that the families I serve have earned their wealth through many years of hard work, commitment, passion and love. And I strive to embody those same attributes in everything I do for my clients.

Growing up in Ohio, my Father was a golf pro and I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with businessmen at the country club where he worked. I always like statistics and helping people and after spending a day with one of the members (who was a financial advisor) when I was 12, I knew this was my calling.

My wife, Sherry, and I reside in Charlotte, North Carolina with our 2 children, Benjamin (11) & Dayvinny, (7) and our beloved Siberian Husky dog, Scarlett. I enjoy and love my community, through mentorship, serving as a youth sports coach, playing amateur golf tournaments and supporting a large number of causes that are close to the heart of my clients and friends. I also am a member of Kingdom Advisors which is an advocacy group that helps advisors integrate their Christian faith to provide biblical wise financial advice to the clients we serve.
