Meet The Latimer Norton Cohen Group

About Mike S Latimer

As a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, I manage my practice along the same principles that I lived by as a Naval Officer - to embrace the highest ideals of duty, honor and loyalty with the mind and character to assume the highest responsibilities of command, citizenship, and government. I align my professional practice and my personal life to these same ideas so that I can truly serve you as my client with honor and integrity in all that I say and do.

I am a Chartered Financial Consultant® and Certified Portfolio Manager practitioner with Morgan Stanley in Yakima, WA, but serve clients all over the country. The focus on my daily practice is to help you preserve and grow your highest degree of purpose, humility, and honor.

In my spare time I enjoy fishing, RV camping, target shooting, martial arts, duck hunting, volunteering for community projects and spending time with my family on our beautiful Selah farm.

About Daniel Cohen

As a financial advisor, I focus on helping clients with pre and post retirement planning. Throughout the process, I take into account your goals and strategize ways to help you achieve them.

I work closely with families, business owners, and high net worth individuals to create a financial plan and assist in removing emotions from your financial decisions. We look to make sure you are educated enough in pre and post retirement planning to help achieve your goals.

At a young age I began investing and realized a deeper love for the markets. I joined the finance industry because I saw family members receiving bad advice from their financial advisors and didn't want that for them, or others. After 2 years of financial planning experience in Bellevue, I moved to Yakima to further my career. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, hiking, snowboarding and playing basketball.

About Michael Norton

I was born in Santa Barbara, CA in 1963, and I graduated High School in Sumner, Washington in 1981. Following that, I moved to Wenatchee and taught snow skiing and attended Wenatchee Valley College. During this time, I continued to teach and coach full time in the winter as well as work on fishing boats in Alaska until 1993.

I moved to Yakima in 1993, where my then future wife (Jennifer) had landed a job with the Yakima Fire Department. In 1995, I finished School and started working as a Financial Advisor with Smith Barney (later became Morgan Stanley).

I began serving on the volunteer Board of Directors of Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health in 2001. I was active in planning the scope and future size of the agency and joined their full-time staff as a Director of Strategic Planning in 2010. I have the greatest respect for people working in the healthcare field. It’s very hard work, but is also a great calling.

In August 2018, I returned to Morgan Stanley, dedicating myself to guiding clients on their financial journeys. Most recently, in February 2024, I joined forces with esteemed Financial Advisors Michael Latimer and Daniel Cohen. Together, we are committed to providing comprehensive financial planning that empowers you to define your objectives, explore tailored solutions, and implement effective strategies to help achieve your goals. At the heart of our approach is a deep understanding of your unique aspirations, and we are excited to work with you in crafting a roadmap for your financial success.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have in-depth personal connections with a wide variety of individuals. The wealthy businessperson to the homeless addict, to a single mom trying to do the best she can for her child, to the police officers and firefighters going to work to serve and protect the community. Each person has value as an individual, and each has a unique perspective. It’s been my privilege to serve the great people in this community.

About Kasen Bodeau

Kasen grew up on a wheat farm in the small town of Wilbur, Washington. He started helping around the farm at 12 years old. The early exposure to the demands of that work contributed to some of his greatest qualities such as a strong work ethic and managing unexpected challenges.

His passion for investing and wealth management started when he was a freshman in High School after opening his first brokerage account. He spent hours researching different stocks and funds trying to build a great portfolio.

Kasen went to Washington State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in finance. During his four years at WSU, he participated in multiple intramural sports, finance clubs and held two executive positions for his fraternity. In 2022, he was elected as Philanthropy Chair of his fraternity where he raised over $5000 for charity and won a philanthropic efforts award from the Interfraternity Council. The following year, he served as Finance Chair, being responsible for the fraternity’s budget and funds.

As a Client Service Associate, Kasen looks forward to building relationships and diligently assisting clients. In his spare time he enjoys working out, snowmobiling, golfing, playing basketball, almost any outdoor activity, but mostly, spending time on Lake Roosevelt with friends and family.
