About Douglas Horn

Douglas Horn is a Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Management Director, Financial Advisor, and Founding Partner of The Horn Group. He has over 40 years of private wealth management experience and has been with Morgan Stanley since 2014. Doug was named to Forbes Best- in-State Wealth Advisors for 2024.

Doug leverages his extensive analytical experience to create tailored strategies for high-net-worth families, focusing on multigenerational wealth. His collaborative approach recognizes each client’s unique circumstances. He conducts comprehensive financial reviews to align investment plans with values, aspirations, and risk tolerance. Using a systematic process and the firm's modern tools, he provides clients with clear solutions to help achieve their financial goals.

Doug’s successful wealth management practice has been built primarily on referrals, driven by the team’s strong investment performance, extraordinary level of service, and thoughtful advice. This can instill confidence, leading clients to recommend the team to their business associates, friends, and families. Doug takes pride in having worked with clients for decades, guiding families through various life stages - from planning for their children’s education to retirement and succession to the next generation.
In 1983, Doug began his career in the securities industry at Merrill Lynch where he worked as a Financial Advisors for thirty-one years before joining Morgan Stanley. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors in Economics and Business.

Giving back to the community is a core value for Doug. He is a dedicated supporter of the Pan-Mass Challenge, an organization that raises funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, primarily through cycling events. Over the past fifteen years, Doug has participated in the rides, and he continues to be active with the cause. In addition to his commitment to cancer research, he joined the board of the Cold Spring Harbor Lab Association in January of 2024.

Doug and his wife reside in Centerport, NY with their children. In his spare moments, he enjoys cycling, boating, and traveling to new destinations. He also dedicates his time to support the community through volunteer work.

Jenn’s journey in wealth management began over 15 years ago, in the aftermath of the Great Financial Crisis—a pivotal time that emphasized the importance of managing markets and their participants. Her career as a regulatory and hedge fund professional in New York City, with roles at Barclays Wealth Management, the National Futures Association, and Alphadyne Asset Management, fueled her passion for client advocacy from within the financial industry.
In 2018, Jenn embraced an entrepreneurial opportunity by joining The Financial Gym, a women-led FinTech start-up, as one of its early-stage hires. Starting as a Level III Certified Financial Trainer, she coached hundreds of clients, helping them navigate their financial journeys. Her role soon expanded to spearheading corporate partnerships, promoting financial wellness and education on a broader scale.

Jenn is a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, NY and obtained her B.B.A. in Finance from Loyola University Maryland. She completed the prestigious Financial Advisory Associate program at Morgan Stanley. Jenn holds Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as Life, Accident & Health Insurance licenses.

After a decade of living and working in Manhattan, Jenn returned to her Eastern Long Island roots, and currently resides with her husband Kevin on The Great South Bay. Between balancing competitive couples-pickleball with practicing yoga, Jenn proudly supports many local farms (both land & sea) and small businesses, to encourage an environmentally sustainable future for our Island.

Kathleen began her career in financial services in 2013, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Store Manager at the TD Bank.

Kathleen is a graduate of the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, where she received a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management.
