Approach

Discovery Process
Investing the time to learn about you and your family; your assets and liabilities and the risk exposures, enables us to formulate strategies and customize the relationship to your needs.
Formulation of Tax, Trust and Estate Strategy
Working with your tax and legal advisors, we help analyze your income and estate tax circumstances to identify and tailor planning techniques that may be used to address your objectives.
Creation of Customized Strategic Asset Allocation
Your customized asset allocation reflects risk, opportunities and taxation across multiple entities, while integrating your investing and estate plans.
Integration of Tactical Asset Allocation
Short-term adjustments seek to capitalize on temporary market distortions. Before making adjustments, we analyze the impact of taxes and trading costs on potential returns.
Implementation of a Customized Wealth Strategy
After comprehensive due diligence and analysis of expected results across multiple market scenarios, strategies are chosen from our expansive investment platform.
Ongoing Assessment
In coordination with your other advisors, we can conduct ongoing reviews and comprehensive reporting to ensure that your strategy adapts to changing financial and family needs.

Clients

At the Greenfield Team at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, we believe our clients are entitled to a special level of service and we bring a family mentality to our relationship with you. Our responsibility is to know you so completely that we go beyond simply responding to your needs; we’ll anticipate them. This may mean coordinating communication among your professional advisors, or helping—even before you ask—to keep all your financial affairs in order.

This level of service is a pledge made by everyone you come in contact with, whether it is our team or any of the experts we engage on your behalf. These professionals represent some of the brightest minds in their respective fields, from manager selection to philanthropy. Each of us takes the necessary time to listen and learn, making a financial and emotional commitment to ensuring we deliver a client experience that is tailored to the needs of your family for decades and generations to come.

Our practice is built on open communication, both with our clients and within our team. We take a multifaceted and integrated approach to our relationship with you, combining our collective talent and the global resources of Morgan Stanley to tailor our services to you and your family. This powerful combination of personal attention and financial possibilities creates unexpected—and welcome—possibilities.

Philosophy

Our philosophy is complexity, simplified.

We understand that substantial wealth comes with unique challenges and significant complexity. Our goal is to bring balance to your complex financial life, with an intense level of attention to every detail.

At the Greenfield Team at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, we focus our collective wisdom on developing a wealth management strategy that is custom-fit to you. Instead of trying to fit your needs to in-house products, we match your needs to personalized strategies and solutions that help you realize your goals, grow and  preserve your assets, and simplify your life.

Our team is actively engaged in every facet of your investment plan, from profile and strategy to implementation and review. Before we even entertain the thought of making investment recommendations, we complete a comprehensive discovery process intended to help us understand your objectives, time horizon and attitude toward risk.

Only when we have a thorough understanding of your specific priorities will we proceed to designing an investment and asset allocation strategy that is uniquely yours. We achieve personalization through our ability to utilize the entire investable universe, from common stocks and bonds to highly sophisticated assets classes, such as real estate investment trusts, limited partnerships, private equity, hedge funds and special situations created by tender offers, mergers and acquisitions, and bankruptcies, as appropriate.

We operate on the core belief that if our team can help successfully minimize the burden that comes with wealth, you and your family have the freedom to focus on the things in life that are most important to you.
