        About Me

        Tom entered the financial industry in 1982, after more than four years as executive director of a nonprofit organization.  He joined Morgan Stanley in 2014, and He is among a select group of Financial Advisors who have been designated as Senior Institutional Consultants.  As a member of this group, Tom is passionate about helping institutions pursue their missions through knowledgeable guidance, including education about the importance of the role endowments play in supporting operations.

        Tom holds the Certified Investment Management AnalystSM (CIMA®), Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®), Certified 401(k) Professional (C(k)P®) and Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM (CRPS®) designations.  He is a portfolio manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Morgan Stanley model portfolios and third-party investment strategies.  When servicing clients through the firm’s Portfolio Management Program, a portfolio manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis.

        Tom is also approved to offer investment consulting services to institutional clients with complex defined-contribution investment needs.  He can help retirement plan sponsors design and administer all types of defined-contribution plans – 401(k), 403(b) and 457 – as well as nonqualified defined-contribution plans and supplemental executive retirement plans.

        Giving back to the community is important to Tom.  He has served as president both of an agency of the United Way of SE Connecticut and of The Estate and Tax Planning Council of Eastern Connecticut.  He is also a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association.  Tom taught Sociology and Anthropology for several years at the University of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University.  He earned a bachelor’s degree cum laude in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in Anthropology and African Studies from the University of London, England.  Tom and his wife, Donna Forma, a sculptor, make their home in Canton, Connecticut.

        About Me

        Kevin re-joins Morgan Stanley where he previously served as Vice President of the Principal Strategies Group, focusing on portfolio management, sourcing investments and trading across the capital structure.  He was also an associate on the Institutional Sales and Trading Group during his prior seven-year tenure with the firm.  With the Forma Group he is responsible for third party manager, alternative investment and single security due diligence, discretionary strategy development, portfolio management, and asset allocation strategy for the group’s institutional and high net worth clients.  His investment research and trading background helps him to understand the quantitative data from clients’ portfolios while simultaneously focusing the portfolio’s qualitative aspects.

        Previously, Kevin was vice president of strategy for the Newedge Group, where he was responsible for assets allocation strategy, research and trading on the exchange-traded funds desk.  Additionally, Kevin was a columnist for The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones as part of its investment banking segment, writing on such topics as mergers and acquisitions in the energy and financial serivces sectors.  He has appeared on Fox Business News and Sky News. He began his investment career in the Mutual Fund Accounting Group at State Street Global Advisors in 2001.

Stern School of Business in 2005.  He and his wife, Leah, an interior decorator, and their three children reside in Greenwich, Connecticut.

        Ashley Angelo is a Registered Associate for the Forma Group. She oversees the support and service functions for the team. She began her financial services career at Smith Barney in 2009. In 2014, she decided to leave the firm and explore other opportunities.  She rejoined the firm in 2017 and the Forma Group in April of 2018. Ashley enjoys the learning opportunities that come with the daily challenges.  Ashley graduated Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a minor in Spanish. She and her husband, Brett, live in Fairfield, Connecticut.
