About John E Jacobs

John Jacobs is a Senior Vice President / Senior Portfolio Manager for Morgan Stanley in Seattle, Washington. John began his career as an intern in the research department for the local investment firm of Foster and Marshall in the late 70’s while still in college.  John graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Accounting and Finance with grand plans to be a CPA. John rejoined Foster and Marshall in 1984; Foster and Marshall was once owned by American Express, which morphed into Shearson American Express, Shearson Lehman Brothers, and Shearson Lehman Hutton and so on until becoming part of Smith Barney. Smith Barney was eventually sold to Morgan Stanley where John remains today with an archive of multiple business cards but with the same phone number for over 37 years!

John has been married most of those 37 years to wife Kristie and has two daughters; daughter Amy is a physical therapy assistant/personal trainer in Vancouver, Washington. Daughter Hannah is a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

John has always enjoyed and taken advantage of the many education opportunities available to Financial Advisors. John got involved with the Investments & Wealth Institute® several years ago and pursued a graduate certificate as a Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®); following the CPWA® designation John has completed graduate certificates in both Retirement Planning and Portfolio Management. John earned a Master of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning and is a Master Planner of Advanced Studies (MPAS®) designee.

About David Gardner

David is a true Seattle native born in Bellevue, WA. He and his wife, Megan have three children, James, Holly and Brooke, and reside in Kirkland, WA. David joined Morgan Stanley in 2000 after starting his financial services career in 1995. Growing up on the Eastside, David was raised with a strong work ethic with his father and uncle at Gardner Distributing (1989-1995). David holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Washington State University and completed his CFP® designation in 2003.

David is an active member in the Kirkland community. He is currently serving on the Lake Washington High School Gridiron Board, and has previously served on the Kirkland American Little League Board for 4 years. He has coached football, basketball and is now coaching youth softball. David and his family enjoy traveling, going to Seahawks and Mariner games, and are members of the Mariners RBI Club.

Michelle began her career as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley* in 2005. She focuses on new and existing client development. In addition, she spends her time working with current clients to help implement their financial planning strategies. Michelle graduated from Gonzaga University with a B.A. in Communications. She is a native Washingtonian, and enjoys all the state has to offer, even the rain!
