About William J Barney

Celebrating his 40 years of investment experience, Bill’s focus is to help you meet your financial goals and expectations. He and his team, The Barney Group, manage clientele portfolios for high net worth families, non-profit organizations, and private and public companies. The practice is based on the client relationship and achieving individual goals from a financial perspective. Bill has been with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management since 2005 and its predecessor firms since 1982. He is among the few financial advisors promoted in 2020 to Managing Director.

He was a producing Branch Manager of The Smith Barney branch in Pasadena from 1998 to 2001 and has perpetually been a member of the firm’s President’s Council. He also serves as a Hearing Board Arbitrator and an Acceptability Board Member at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in New York.

Bill’s passion for philanthropy supports suicide prevention as Donor and Active Grant Advisor for the William J. Barney Donor Advised Fund. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and is a native of Pasadena, CA where he lives with his family.

About John Fitzgerald

John is an investment library of information with over 34 years’ experience. He began his financial career working as a trader for fifteen exciting years on the Pacific Stock Exchange. John transitioned to the Private Client side of the business joining The Barney Group in 2004. John’s role for the team focuses on research and portfolio analysis, a passion since childhood reading Value Line with his grandmother at the kitchen table. He works closely with Bill in managing the groups' portfolios.

John lives locally in Altadena with his wife and energetic son. His hobbies include reading and hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains.

About Tabitha Noh

Tabitha joined Morgan Stanley in June of 2007. Tabitha performs all the administrative and supportive duties for the team, including engaging and utilizing the Firm’s full capabilities. Cultivates and enhances new and existing client relationships through the processing of client request, resolving client inquiries and identify solutions that support clients’ needs. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Tabitha began her career at AIG VALIC where she provided administrative sales support to the Los Angeles District office.

Tabitha was born and raised in Southern California and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside. Tabitha lives in Chino, with her two boys. She enjoys the outdoors, exploring hiking trails with her boys, crafting and trying new restaurants.

About Peter Barash

Peter Barash is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in California.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Peter began his career in financial services in 1984, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2010 as a Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Private Banking Specialist at U.S. Bank.

Peter is a graduate of Columbia University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Comparative Literature. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. He lives in Glendale, California with his family. Outside of the office, Peter enjoys, hiking, playing bass guitar and reading.
