Our Story
By utilizing the full intellectual capital of Morgan Stanley, we strive to educate and guide our clients in the areas of cash management, portfolio management, lending solutions, estate and philanthropic planning strategies. Our approach is to provide clients with an understanding of the current economic environment so that they are informed and empowered when making a decision that affects their family and/or business. We work closely with our clients to create a comprehensive financial plan. Then, and only then, do we implement a wealth management strategy that addresses retirement planning, comprehensive estate planning, tax-minimization strategies, and if applicable, business succession planning strategies.

As a Portfolio Manager with the Portfolio Management Program, Anouchka takes the time to understand your unique situation and can help you develop a personalized investment strategy that is built upon a disciplined, four-step process that addresses your individual circumstances and goals:
- Help you set your financial objectives
- Work with you to define your investment strategy
- Create a tailored investment portfolio and manage it on a discretionary basis on your behalf.
- Monitor the portfolio and review ongoing performance
Our investment philosophy is to achieve a broad diversification of investments across all sectors and styles, including domestic and international equities, fixed income, commodities, ETFs as well as alternative investments. In addition, The Balog Group looks for absolute returns from a tactical asset allocation perspective. This type of investment philosophy does not limit me to a specific market or style and allows for the efficient allocation of risk capital globally seeking potential returns that are compelling. This is done using a strict buy and sell discipline.

Sports and Entertainment Directors were chosen for their advanced experience working in very specific fields. In our case, it's actors, screenwriters, directors and musicians. We understand the unique financial challenges of entertainers and can help craft customized financial strategies that are tailored to their specific needs. Morgan Stanley GSE are proud to announce the launch of Money in the Making™, a digital financial education program developed and designed specifically for the next generation of athletes, entertainers and emerging talent. We partnered with entertainers, creators, and athletes, such as NFL great Larry Fitzgerald, Jr. to create a new digital financial education program aims to help young athletes, entertainers and emerging talent in the sports and entertainment industry build and manage wealth.
The Newport Beach Film Festival is an event produced by, for, and about film enthusiasts. As such, NBFF events and screenings may be recorded or reproduced by the Newport Beach Film Festival, its designees, and/or attending participants.

About Anouchka Balog
Years at Morgan Stanley: 30+
Born in Montreal, from an early age Anouchka knew she wanted to be a Financial Advisor. Her love of investing was instilled in her by her father. She graduated from the University of Montreal with a degree in finance and began her career in financial services. Starting her career in an era dominated by transactional business, Anouchka made a commitment to financial planning that has led to a thriving wealth practice.
Now, as an investment professional with 34 years of experience and a Certified Financial Planner™, Anouchka Balog is still firmly committed to providing families and businesses sound financial advice by carefully listening to each client’s individual goals, values, aspirations, and concerns.
Anouchka has constantly focused her energy on meeting the ever changing needs of her clients and thus obtained the title of Family Wealth Director and Global Sports and Entertainment Director. These exclusive designations are granted only to Morgan Stanley Advisors who have successfully completed a rigorous accreditation program focused on skills required for comprehensive wealth management across a range of disciplines important to the unique circumstances of wealthy individuals.
When not working, Anouchka enjoys spending time with her husband, Tim and daughter, Seychelle (Seychelle is a pre-med student at Cornell). They enjoy traveling, tennis, golf and reading.

About Christopher Mullery
Years at Morgan Stanley: 33+
Originally from New York, Christopher began his career at Smith Barney Harris Upham, Inc. and has held various corporate positions in both New York and Los Angeles. In 2007, Christopher joined The Balog Group at Morgan Stanley as a Business Development Director and firm-designated Financial Planning Associate. In 2011, Christopher earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation from the College of Financial Planning.
Christopher brings over 30 years of financial planning experience to the team. Christopher's primary responsibility is to ensure that systems are in place to provide continuously efficient and high-quality service to the clients of The Balog Group. In addition, Christopher assists Anouchka with banking and lending solutions, financial planning, and performance reporting.
In his spare time, Christopher and his wife, Carmen, live in Mission Viejo with their two children. Besides being a passionate New York sports fan and Liverpool Football Club, Christopher enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family and family dogs.

About Ritamarie Kikawa
Years at Morgan Stanley: 18+
Rita takes pride in making our clients feel like family. From the time an account is first opened, her attention to detail and follow-up form the basis of the Balog Group experience.
With over 20 years of industry experience, she joined The Balog Group at Morgan Stanley in 2005. Ritamarie is responsible for all of administrative and operational duties for The Balog Group. Her experience as a former branch operations manager has prepared her to deliver first-in-class service to clients. Some of her responsibilities are:
• Client contact for all general inquires
• Manages client documents and performs routine account maintenance
• Administers clients monthly income distributions
• Assists clients with cash management, such as money transfers and wires
• Supports clients with Morgan Stanley Online
When out of the office, Ritamarie enjoys spending time with her husband and playing with their dog, Sundae.
