As a Portfolio Manager with the Portfolio Management Program, I take the time to understand your unique situation and can help you develop a personalized investment strategy that is built upon a disciplined, four-step process that addresses your individual circumstances and goals:

     1. Help you set your financial objectives
     2. Work with you to define your investment strategy
     3. Create a tailored investment portfolio and manage it on a discretionary basis on your behalf.
     4. Monitor the portfolio and review ongoing performance

Our investment philosophy is to achieve a broad diversification of investments across all sectors and styles, including domestic and international equities, fixed income, commodities, ETFs and mutual funds as well as alternative investments.   In addition, we look for absolute returns from a tactical asset allocation perspective.  This type of investment philosophy does not limit me to a specific market or style and allows for the efficient allocation of risk capital globally seeking potential returns that are compelling.  This is done using a strict buy and sell discipline.

    About Me

    Born in Montreal, from an early age Anouchka new she wanted to be a Financial Advisor.  Her love of investing was instilled in her by her father. She graduated from the University of Montreal with a degree in finance and began her career in financial services.  Starting her career in an era dominated by transactional business, Anouchka made a commitment to financial planning that has led to a thriving wealth practice.

    Now, as an investment professional with almost 30 years and a Certified Financial Planner™, Anouchka Balog is still firmly committed to providing families and businesses sound financial advice by carefully listening to each client’s individual goals, values, aspirations, and concerns. Our approach is to provide clients with an understanding of the current economic environment so that they are informed and empowered when making a decision that affects their family and/or business.     As Managing Director and a Senior Portfolio Management Director with Morgan Stanley’s Consulting Group, she focused her energy to meet the ever changing needs of her clients and obtained the title of Family Wealth Director sponsored by Morgan Stanley’s Global Wealth Management. This exclusive designation is granted to those Financial Advisors who have successfully completed a rigorous accreditation program focused on skills required for comprehensive wealth management across a range of disciplines important to wealthy individuals.  In 2016, to meet the ever changing needs of her entertainment clients, she became a Sports and Entertainment Director with Morgan Stanley.

    All of her hard work and dedication to her clients has led to her almost annual recognition (2007-2017) by Barron’s Financial Magazine as one of the Top 100 Women Financial Advisors in the country.  Just recently, Anouchka was named to Forbes Magazine’s inaugural list of America’s Top 200 Women Financial Advisors, listed on Forbes.com.   In addition, she has also been named to The Financial Times’ 2014 list of America’s Top 400 Financial Advisors.  

    When not working, Anouchka enjoys spending time with her husband, Tim and daughter, Seychelle.  They enjoy traveling, tennis, golf and reading.

    About Me

    Originally from New York, Christopher began his career at Smith Barney Harris Upham, Inc. and has held various corporate positions in both New York and Los Angeles.  In 2007, Christopher joined The Balog Group at Morgan Stanley as a Business Development Director and firm-designated Financial Planning Associate.  In 2011, Christopher earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation from the College of Financial Planning.

    Christopher brings over 27 years of financial planning experience to the team.  Christopher's primary responsibility is to insure that systems are in place to provide continuously efficient and high-quality service to the clients of The Balog Group.  In addition, Christopher assists Anouchka with lending solutions, financial planning, investment research, and performance reporting.   

    In his spare time, Christopher and his wife, Carmen, live in Mission Viejo with their two children.  Besides being a passionate New York sports fan and Liverpool Football Club, Christopher enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

    About Me

    Ritamarie takes pride in making our clients feel like family.  From the time an account is first opened, her attention to detail and follow-up form the basis of the Balog Group experience.  

    With over 20 years of industry experience, she joined The Balog Group at Morgan Stanley in 2005.  Ritamarie is responsible for all of administrative and operational duties for The Balog Group.  Her experience as a former branch operations manager has prepared her to deliver first-in-class service to clients.  Some of her responsibilities are:

        * Client contact for all general inquires
        * Manages client documents and performs routine account maintenance
        * Administers clients’ monthly income distributions
        * Assists clients with cash management, such as money transfers and wires
        * Supports clients with Morgan Stanley Online

    When out of the office, Ritamarie enjoys spending time with her husband and playing with their two dogs.

    About Me

    Born and raised in Southern California Steven has spent nearly a decade in the finance industry amassing a wide array of knowledge and experience. Prior to joining the Balog group Steven worked as an administrator at an insurance firm, in sales at a large retail bank, and at Morgan Stanley previously as a manager. Steven has a real thirst for knowledge and has a passion for education, as evidenced by his collection of certifications. He has earned the highly esteemed designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), along with being a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®). Steven graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.A. in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance in only 3 years, and loved spending time on the central coast.

    What Steven hopes to bring to the Balog team is a high level of client service along with a holistic approach to financial planning. His responsibilities will include investment research, portfolio management, and client outreach.

    In his spare time Steven is an avid chess player, and enjoys spending time with his wife Heather, and newborn child Eleanor.
