My Mission Statement
My Story and Services
Shane earned his degree in Accounting from Westminster College and later completed his MBA in Accounting at the University of Utah. Before entering financial services, he worked his way up to Controller and Chief Financial Officer at a national sports franchise retailer. That experience gave him a practical and hands-on understanding of business and finance that continues to shape how he works with clients today.
Since 2004, Shane has focused on helping people build plans that are clear, realistic, and built to last. Whether someone is getting ready to retire, thinking about the next generation, or just trying to make smart decisions, Shane is known for keeping things approachable and focused on what really matters.
Through The Wasatch Group, he offers access to a wide range of investment tools, experienced professionals, and a platform designed to support long term planning without the pressure or fluff. Maximize Your Equity Compensation
Your equity compensation is one of the most valuable—and often misunderstood—parts of your total rewards package. I help you understand what you've been granted, how it fits into your broader financial picture, and how to make the most of it through tax-smart, goal-aligned strategies.
From stock options to RSUs, ESPPs, and performance shares, each plan has different rules, tax treatments, and long-term planning implications. Knowing what's available is the first step to making informed decisions.
Vesting schedules, expiration dates, and performance targets can significantly impact your financial outcomes. I help you decode the fine print so you can take control of your equity.
Without proper planning, equity compensation can create unexpected tax bills, concentrated risk, or missed opportunities. Our expertise helps you align your equity strategy with your overall financial goals.
A personalized equity analysis can reveal opportunities to improve cash flow, manage taxes, and support long-term wealth building. It's more than compensation—it's a critical piece of your financial plan.
Discipline. Mastery. Results.

At Morgan Stanley, Shane helps individuals, families, and business owners build financial plans that align with their goals. He believes that trust is built through consistency, and that success comes from staying the course even when things get uncertain. Whether it’s guiding a client through a major life transition or navigating complex markets, Shane’s role is to simplify the path forward — with humility, clarity, and purpose.
