My Mission Statement
Customized investment and financial strategies for clients like you
About Me
Robert Moreira is an Assistant Vice President, Financial Advisor, Workplace Advisor, and Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley. Since beginning his career with the firm in 2013, Robert has focused on building strong, lasting relationships with clients by taking the time to understand their long-term financial goals, priorities, and concerns. He brings a broad perspective on the markets and leverages the extensive resources of Morgan Stanley to help deliver a thoughtful, high-quality client experience.
As a Portfolio Manager, Robert manages client assets on a discretionary basis, developing personalized investment strategies designed to align with each client’s objectives, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and time horizon. He combines Morgan Stanley’s global resources with his own research and ongoing portfolio monitoring to help clients navigate changing market conditions. In this role, Robert adheres to applicable Portfolio Manager investment guidelines while seeking to provide disciplined, customized investment management.
Robert also holds the Financial Planning Specialist title, which reflects his commitment to helping clients evaluate the full scope of their financial lives. His planning approach considers a client’s broader financial picture, including investment goals, cash flow needs, retirement planning, risk management, liquidity considerations, and long-term wealth objectives.
As a Workplace Advisor, Robert also has a particular focus on working with individuals who receive equity compensation. He brings specialized knowledge and experience to help clients better understand, manage, and make informed decisions around employer-sponsored equity awards. This includes helping clients evaluate how equity compensation may fit into their overall financial plan, including considerations around cash flow, diversification, taxes, liquidity, and long-term goals. Robert is familiar with the complexities associated with various forms of equity compensation, including stock options, restricted stock units, employee stock purchase plans, and performance shares.
Robert’s strong work ethic and client-first mindset were shaped early in life while working in his family’s restaurant, where he developed valuable interpersonal skills and an appreciation for hard work. After attending Don Bosco Preparatory High School, Robert earned a degree in Business Economics from Providence College. While at Providence, he worked with the Friars hockey team and remains actively connected to the sport and his alumni community. He continues to give back by coaching hockey at Don Bosco.
Robert lives in New Jersey with his wife, Jaclyn, and his son Julian. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, following his favorite college sports teams, traveling, and spending summers at the Jersey Shore. A passionate hockey fan, Robert is also an avid supporter of the New Jersey Devils.
