Bob Vogelsang, CFP®

My Mission Statement
MY STORY
Starting in 1989, Bob has accumulated over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. His passion for the business lies in helping clients navigate their financial goals while also engaging with multiple generations within a family - both of which he finds extremely rewarding.
What he enjoys most when working with clients is sitting down and listening to their stories, learning as much as possible about them before diving deep into their finances. With this information, he develops a holistic, individualized plan tailored to their needs. He continuously updates these plans throughout the various stages of his clients' lives and, in many cases, begins working with the next generation.
He works alongside his partner, Bob Miller, and together they bring 75 years of combined investment experience. Both handle the investment decisions, with the analytical work being conducted behind the scenes by their Consulting Group Analyst, Jacob Aruta. The Client Service Associates, Dawn Uchihara and Eric Suh, manage the operational aspect of the business. Additionally, Kevin Petersen, who has several years of industry experience, joined the team in 2021, and Blake Vogelsang has been part of the team for over a year. Kevin and Blake play a pivotal role when it comes to the success of the practice. On a day-to-day basis, Kevin and Blake can be found reviewing portfolio asset allocation with existing clients as well as introducing new clients to the team's actively managed portfolios. When they are not reviewing securities, Kevin and Blake facilitate the new client onboarding process as well as schedule financial planning meetings for clients that need to review their plan or implement updates.
Bob has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Since then, he has received the Financial Planning Specialist designation, Lending Specialist certifications, and completed the rigorous academic Graziadio Planning Program.
In 2023, he obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, which recognizes a combination of substantial financial planning experience, completion of a comprehensive and highly specialized educational program, and demonstrated real - world applications of core competencies.
In 2024 & 2025, Bob was named as one of Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors which is a testament to his professional experience and dedication to his clients.

A longtime resident of Redondo Beach, he has lived there for nearly 50 years and is fortunate to have his immediate family nearby. He has been married to his wife, Lee, for 25 years, and they have two sons: Blake (24) and Brad (22), who is currently attending UCSB.
Outside of work, he enjoys being outdoors, whether spending time at the beach with family or deep sea-fishing with friends. He and his wife love to travel, listen to live music, and spend quality time with their children. He is also an active community member, having coached his sons in soccer for 10 years at AYSO Region 34, as well as coaching basketball and serving as a commissioner for HBYB for six years. He had volunteered at local schools and contributed to the Redondo Union High School water polo program while his sons played there. More recently, he became a member of the Elks National Hoop Shoot basketball program.
With over 35 years of experience, he has always prioritized a personal, client-focused approach to financial planning. He believes that understanding clients' goals, values, and family dynamics is key to developing and maintaining a comprehensive financial strategy that evolves with their lives. His commitment to ongoing education, professional development, and community involvement reflects his dedication not only to his clients but also to the broader community. As he continues to work with his team at Morgan Stanley, he looks forward to helping more families achieve their financial goals and secure their financial future.
