Beyond the S&P 500

Investing is obviously a key component of your overall finances and a determinant of whether you will achieve your goals on time and as planned.

But it’s not the only component…or even the most important. For example:

• What happens if you incur prolonged healthcare expenses?
• Can you articulate your plan for when you’re no longer here?
• Will you be able to help send your children or grandchildren to college without depleting your retirement savings?

Throughout his career, Patrick has learned about the importance of financial planning. In fact, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and he creates a customized plan for his clients. Patrick’s plan is a little like a financial GPS. It shows you where you are in relation to your goals and seeks to point out an appropriate route to help get you to where you want to go. His process for creating and implementing your plan involves the following steps:
Getting To Know You
Who are you as a person, not just an investor? Your conversations will explore your aspirations and what you fear might be standing in your way of fulfilling them.
Creating Your Plan
Once you identify the goals most important to you, Patrick and his team will quantify the approximate cost and take a complete inventory of your savings, potential future sources of income and other resources that might be available to you. Depending on whether you have a gap or a surplus, he will create a plan with tangible recommendations.
Executing Your Strategies
Your plan includes an investment strategy based on your goals, timeframe and risk tolerance. Patrick may consult with your attorney, accountant and Morgan Stanley professionals who have dedicated experience in specific areas of focus.
Investing Your Assets
With Morgan Stanley’s Global Investment Committee, Patrick can develop allocation plan that reflects your goals, timeframe and risk tolerance.
Following Up
Are you proceeding as anticipated toward your financial destination or is an adjustment required? Patrick will monitor your performance on an ongoing basis and may alter your strategies to accommodate changing circumstances in your life or trends in the financial markets

My Background

Over his 20-year career, Patrick has helped numerous clients meet the challenges and manage the complexities that often accompany significant wealth. Patrick is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who believes that a comprehensive plan is mandatory for understanding what you truly want your wealth to accomplish and what might prevent you from achieving your goals.

At the two major regional banks where he worked before joining Morgan Stanley, Patrick built a successful practice, while supervising and mentoring a number of other Financial Advisors across Ohio. His focus with them was no different than the focus he has always prioritized with his own clients – to provide them with service that can help make a difference in their financial lives and to cultivate a relationship marked by depth, longevity and mutual respect.

Patrick joined Morgan Stanley because he believes his clients can benefit greatly from the extensive resources available here. A financial planning platform that goes beyond investing to encompass virtually every aspect of your financial life, asset management capabilities that conduct exhaustive research of third party investment management organizations, a global outlook on financial markets – these are the attributes that compelled him to come here. And these are the attributes that Patrick firmly believes will help his clients take a more direct route to their financial goals.

Patrick has a BA in Economics Management from Ohio Wesleyan University. He is a native Ohioan and resides in New Albany, Ohio with his wife Tami and their two sons, Grant and Blake. When Patrick is not serving his clients, he can often be found coaching or watching his sons play baseball.
