About Tony Montgomery

Anthony (Tony) James Montgomery, Sr. is a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management Director, Family Wealth Advisor, and Wealth Advisor with the Montgomery Hollahan Group at Morgan Stanley. Tony studied Finance Law, Marketing & Management at Portland State University, where he played both football and golf. For two decades, Tony has been helping highly successful individuals and families develop and execute customized plans of action to achieve their financial goals. He focuses on establishing deep relationships with our clients and identifying solutions to their wealth management needs through our comprehensive process. The cornerstone of our business is CLIENT SERVICE and that includes everything that makes our clients’ lives easier. Everyone on the team has the same focus, and it comes shining through. Ultimately, Tony believes that our clients would describe him as someone of high integrity who always places client needs first and does the right thing.

Following a successful career as a senior executive of a public company, Tony was recruited into the Financial Services business in 2004. Starting at Smith Barney Citigroup, he later joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 where he has been ever since. Tony knew this was the field where he wanted to build a second career when the recruiter stated that "if he partnered with the strongest financial services firm in the country, he would have the resources to be impactful to families!" Previously, he was a Board Member and Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Royal Precision, specializing in the manufacture and sales of performance golf shafts and golf grips. Tony founded Montgomery & Associates, a manufacturer and distributor of custom golf clubs, accessories, and gifts, which ultimately merged with Royal Precision. He also owned successful painting and remodeling, real estate, and floor covering businesses. His experience in business, having P & L (Profit & Loss) responsibility provides him a unique perspective of capital markets. As a father and grandfather, Tony shares the real-life experiences of our clientele. The combination allows him to have empathy and thoughtful decision-making.

Tony grew up in Oregon, and now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. He lives every day to the fullest. Tony loves his family and friends and does not spend a minute with people who are negative and draining. Life is too short! There is nothing more important to Tony than family! Married since 1986 to his high school sweetheart, Tony and Cathy have two grown children, AJ and Jenna. They are both married and have given them three beautiful grandkids. Tony and his wife love this chapter of their lives and raise their hand anytime the kids need them to do anything.

Outside of work, Tony is passionate about golf, traveling, food and wine, especially Oregon Pinot Noir. He also enjoys family dinners, barbecuing, and life experiences. Over the course of Tony’s adult life, he has always been involved with organizations that benefit people in need. From 1987 to 1998, Tony created and ran a charity golf tournament in Portland, Oregon, benefiting the Oregon Heart Association and Oregon Special Olympics. He was Booster Club President of Notre Dame Preparatory High School and followed that post by being Capital Campaign Co-Chair in 2008-09. Tony is a proud supporter of iSalud!, an organization dedicated to providing healthcare services and outreach to Oregon vineyard workers and their families. His philanthropic focus is on helping young people realize their dreams. Tony’s charity of Choice is Elevate Phoenix where he is currently Chairman of the Development Board and Executive Board Member. Elevate Phoenix is a non-profit that provides 24/7 mentoring and leadership skill education to disadvantaged kids in inner-city Phoenix. He has been involved in this organization since 2016.

About Jeff Hollahan

Jeff Hollahan is a First Vice President, Portfolio Management Director, and Financial Advisor with the Montgomery Hollahan Group at Morgan Stanley. Since entering the financial services industry in 1984, he has been focused on having a positive impact on his clients’ lives, whether it’s helping them with planning to put a child through college or retire earlier than anticipated. Jeff focuses on building strong relationships with his clients and seeks to help build confidence and put their best interests at heart.

Jeff joined Morgan Stanley in 2000, after working for several, smaller regional firms. He believes in helping clients establish written goals and developing a clear roadmap towards their financial futures. Having dedicated his entire career to helping clients seek to achieve their goals, Jeff has the skills, knowledge, and experience to help clients address challenges they may encounter on their journey towards their financial goals.

Angela McDonald is a Portfolio Associate with the Montgomery Hollahan Group at Morgan Stanley. Angela has been on the service side of the financial industry since 1999. She has both her Series 7 and 66 licenses. Nikki Ranck is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Arizona and New Mexico.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Nikki began her career in financial services in 2006, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2022 as a Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Senior Client Service Associate at JP Morgan’s Private Bank. She also served as a Mortgage Banker and Branch Manager at JP Morgan Chase, and a Service Manager and Personal Banker at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.
