My Mission Statement
Empowering wealthy clientele to make more enriching decisions
About James M. Schneiderman
James Schneiderman runs an awarded wealth management practice from the Beverly Hills, CA branch at Morgan Stanley. Serving high net worth clients in major metropolitan areas including Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC and throughout Southern California, James personally manages hundreds of millions of dollars for a private client base he calls his second family.
James and his staff in the Beverly Hills office are best described as a boutique wealth management team at a global financial institution that offers family office wealth management and investment services to high net worth individuals and families throughout the United States.
Forbes Magazine has repeatedly ranked James Schneiderman a top advisor, naming him to the Forbes Best In State Wealth Managers list (2018 - 2021) as well as ranking James in the Forbes list of America’s Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors (2017 - 2020). In addition to Forbes, James was named a Financial Times Top Advisor in 2015 in the FT 401 Rankings, and most recently On Wall Street Magazine named him in their 2019 listing of Top 40 Advisors Under 40.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, James worked in government relations for an advocacy group representing Fortune 500 companies pursuing their international tax, trade, and finance policy interests before the federal government and members of the foreign diplomatic corps. He received his MA from The Middlebury Institute for International Studies, and his BA from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.
James is an American literature enthusiast with a particular affinity for the works of John Steinbeck. In May 2014 he was cited by Financial Advisor IQ, a Financial Times publication, in “Books That Changed Advisors' Lives” for his appreciation of Steinbeck’s writing and its impact on his success as a Financial Advisor. James finds joy in random acts of charitable giving, yet he is also personally committed to supporting veteran-related charities in honor of his friend and college roommate, a Marine killed in action in 2006 while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Working With You
Where the science of financial decision making intersects with the unique personal and business circumstances of wealthy clientele, our team strives to empower clients with the information, resources and support to make more enriching financial decisions. This empowerment is born from two key concepts: (1) An in-depth understanding of each respective client we serve and what they care most about; and (2) Extensive education and experience in the sciences that apply to personal financial decisions in global markets.
Paramount are your goals for your family, your personal needs, and your understanding them allows us to serve you in a manner that goes beyond just financial figures. We then determine your time horizon for various key benchmarks and we gauge your risk tolerance, before devising an investment model aimed toward achieving your desired outcomes. We will assist you in updating your goals when appropriate providing a comprehensive organizational process that will help you simplify your life and navigate the unexpected ups and downs not merely of the financial markets, but of everyday life where finances are impacted.
We study investment trends and leverage this knowledge to help you develop a personalized investment strategy. For this reason, no two plans are exactly alike. Our focused approach to investing is founded in a disciplined, process that underpins how we work together.
Ultimately, we’ll be working with you to organize your life, simplify the planning process, and free up your time. It all begins when we first meet and becomes progressively more enriching and rewarding as we develop a strong, trust-based working relationship meant to last a lifetime. This means less reliance on hunches and opinions, greater confidence in decision-making and real plans for what to do under a range of different circumstances.
We are a team of driven individuals that naturally want to connect and understand others. Let us know how we can serve you.

Philosophy of Giving Back as a Privilege
James believes that philanthropy and community involvement are privileges, rather than obligations, that his career has enabled him to enjoy meaningfully. He promotes a team culture that values and encourages volunteering and supporting charitable causes.
Supporting Causes Clients Care About
Supporting causes that clients care about, as well as philanthropic institutions associated with such causes, is a quintessential element of the relationship James Schneiderman and his team have with those they serve. The American Red Cross, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Doctors Without Borders, The Wounded Warrior Project, Children's Cancer Research Fund and AIDS Lifecycle are just a few of the charities James and his team have participated in supporting collaboratively clients.
Honoring Family & Loved Ones Through Charity and Art
James established a private foundation that endeavors to support artists in Los Angeles in honor of his father. It was his late father’s dream to revive the arts communities in Hollywood and Los Angeles to the glamour and notoriety they had in the 1950's and 60's. Through his foundation, James hopes to help keep his father’s dream alive, by assisting entertainers, creative artists and those who help make the greater Los Angeles area a more inspiring and artistic place to live.
