Meet Hageman Masters Group

About Kent Hageman

I have been providing financial advice to individuals, trusts, corporations and foundations since 1986. In 2001, I joined Morgan as a Senior Vice President and prior to that I was with Merrill Lynch as a Vice President and Certified Financial Manager.

I graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance. In 2002, I earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2006, I completed accreditation from the Morgan Stanley Wealth Advisor program.

I enjoy staying involved in the community. I serve on The Hageman Family Foundation as President, and as a board member of the Lorain County Community College Foundation and am an emeritus member of the Mercy Regional Foundation. I am also a former board member Mercy Lorain Hospital and The Community Foundation of Lorain County.

Currently I live in Lorain, Ohio with my wife, Michelle and two sons, Alex and Michael. Outside of the office, I enjoy golf, traveling, and spending time with my family.

About Scott Masters

I work with individuals and businesses that are looking to make the right financial decisions now, to help create a successful future for themselves, their families and their employees. As a Certified Financial Planner I believe that with proper planning and understanding, we can successfully navigate all the challenges that people face today in a simple, tax efficient manner. My focus includes personal retirement planning, education planning, legacy and estate strategies as well as business retirement plans such as a 401(k)’s.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. I then spent several years as a PGA Professional running a private Ritz-Carlton managed facility in Sarasota, Florida before moving back home to Ohio to be closer to family. Since joining Morgan Stanley, I’ve earned the Certified Financial Planner Designation (CFP®) as a way to adhere to a higher standard of education and care for my clients.

I enjoy being involved with the local community and like to give back by working with the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio.

My wife and I live in Avon with our two sons, Parker and Connor. Outside of the office I enjoy golfing, running, traveling and time with my family.

About Angela Carmichael

I am the newest member of the team as of June 2023.
Prior to joining, I worked for Serco as a Quality Assurance Specialist, ensuring clients were receiving the best care and service as possible. I strive to ensure each client’s needs are met and to exceed expectations. Additionally, I also served in the United States Army, where I learned skills that I was able to implement into my day-to-day life.

Outside of the office, I enjoy being a leader of a Girl Scout Troop, playing tennis, practicing my violin, going for bike rides, and playing games with my family.

About Tyson Abert

Tyson R. Abert is a Senior Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in Wisconsin, Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Senior Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Tyson began his career in financial services in 2004, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Business Development Manager and a Senior Relationship Manager at Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking Services.

Tyson is a graduate of Illinois State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting, and Lake Forest Graduate School of Management where he received a Master of Business Administration. He and his family currently reside right outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Outside of the office, Tyson enjoys golfing, hunting, boating, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Andre is a Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in the Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania as well as the Central and Eastern Pennsylvania Markets. He is responsible for helping Financial Advisors with their clients’ and prospects’ financial planning needs.

Andre began his career in financial services in 2017 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2023. Prior to his current position, he was a member of Robert W. Baird’s Wealth Planning team, where he worked with Baird Financial Advisors to deliver financial planning to their clients.

Andre graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Personal Finance and holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Personal Wealth Advisor designations. Andre lives in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Milwaukee, WI. Outside of work, Andre enjoys reading, watching and playing sports as well as traveling in his free time.

About Mamta Shah

Mamta Shah is the Trust Specialist based in Chicago, covering the Midwest Region. Morgan Stanley provides a full array of personal and institutional trust services to high net worth clients of the firm. Mamta’s responsibilities include educating Financial Advisors and their clients on the open architecture trust service model and helping them identify opportunities to leverage the trust partners on the platform.

Before joining Trust Services in 2010, she was the Wealth Analyst with the Chicago based Wealth Planning Center at Morgan Stanley. Mamta was responsible for providing information and education on a full range of income and estate tax topics and concerns.

Prior to joining the Planning Center team in 2006, Mamta was Vice President of an Independent Investment Advisory Firm. She worked closely with the clients of the firm on a variety of financial planning and investment advisory services.

Mamta obtained her bachelor’s degree from Babson College with a major in Finance/Entrepreneurship. Mamta is a licensed CPA and holds a CFP® designation, She has been in the financial services industry since 1999. She is Series 7, 63, 65 and life/health insurance licensed. She is a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society. She lives in Chicago with her family.
