Our Story and Services

Graystone West Los Angeles works with individuals, families, executives, business owners, institutions, and organizations navigating complex financial decisions. Your financial life may include retirement planning, equity compensation, family wealth considerations, business priorities, and institutional responsibilities that need to be viewed together rather than in isolation. Our role is to help bring structure to those moving parts so you can make more informed decisions with a clearer understanding of your goals, priorities, and options.

Our approach begins with listening. We take time to understand your objectives, responsibilities, risk considerations, liquidity needs, and the broader context behind each decision. From there, we collaborate with you and, when appropriate, your tax and legal advisors to develop planning strategies designed to align with your personal, professional, and organizational priorities. This process is grounded in disciplined analysis, ongoing communication, and access to the resources of Morgan Stanley.

As your needs evolve, our work is designed to evolve with you. Whether you are preparing for retirement, managing concentrated equity, overseeing workplace benefits, addressing family wealth matters, or supporting an institution’s investment objectives, we focus on helping you evaluate decisions thoughtfully and stay aligned with what matters most. Our goal is to provide guidance, perspective, and a coordinated planning experience over time.

Approach

Discovery Process
Investing the time to learn about you and your family; your assets and liabilities and the risk exposures, enables us to formulate strategies and customize the relationship to your needs.
Formulation of Tax, Trust and Estate Strategy
Working with your tax and legal advisors, we help analyze your income and estate tax circumstances to identify and tailor planning techniques that may be used to address your objectives.
Creation of Customized Strategic Asset Allocation
Your customized asset allocation reflects risk, opportunities and taxation across multiple entities, while integrating your investing and estate plans.
Integration of Tactical Asset Allocation
Short-term adjustments seek to capitalize on temporary market distortions. Before making adjustments, we analyze the impact of taxes and trading costs on potential returns.
Implementation of a Customized Wealth Strategy
After comprehensive due diligence and analysis of expected results across multiple market scenarios, strategies are chosen from our expansive investment platform.
Ongoing Assessment
In coordination with your other advisors, we can conduct ongoing reviews and comprehensive reporting to ensure that your strategy adapts to changing financial and family needs.
