My Story and Services

Ed Moffitt is a dedicated and passionate Senior Financial Advisor, First Vice President at Morgan Stanley, where he has been making a significant impact since joining the firm in 2025. With a career spanning over two decades in the financial services industry, Ed brings a wealth of experience and a client-centered approach to his practice.

Ed's journey into finance began during his time at Boston College, where he was inspired by classmates pursuing careers in finance. This inspiration led him to transition from a background in mechanical engineering, having earned a Bachelor of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, to the investment field. Prior to attending WPI, Ed spent a post graduate year at Worcester Academy, where he played football and baseball. He continued playing football at WPI and was a member of an undefeated team his senior year that finished 9th in the nation in NCAA Division 3. He further honed his skills by obtaining an MBA in Finance from Boston College's Carroll Graduate School of Business.

Ed's professional philosophy is rooted in the belief that every client deserves a comprehensive financial plan. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), emphasizing the importance of financial planning in achieving long-term success. His unique approach involves a thorough gathering of information and the development of a tailored financial plan for each client, ensuring that recommendations are well-informed and aligned with their goals.

Throughout his career, Ed has worked with several prestigious firms, including Merrill Lynch, Raymond James, and Wells Fargo, before bringing his experience to Morgan Stanley. His commitment to building strong relationships and helping families succeed financially is evident in his planning-based approach, which sets him apart from his competitors.

Ed's service model is centered around regular client engagement, with quarterly meetings to review and adjust financial plans as needed. This proactive approach ensures that clients remain on track to achieve their financial objectives while accommodating any life changes.

Outside of his professional life, Ed is deeply committed to his community. He actively participates in fundraising events, including 100-mile bike rides for causes such as juvenile diabetes and Alzheimer's research. His dedication to philanthropy reflects his belief in making a positive difference both professionally and personally.

Ed’s pride & joy are his two sons Jack & Joseph. Jack, a graduate of St. Anselm’s College, is currently the Head Soccer Coach for the Freshman team at Andover High School. Joseph is advancing his education as a student at Tulane University. Ed's personal interests include daily walks and long bike rides, reflecting his commitment to an active lifestyle and overall well-being.

Raised in Malden, MA, in a large family, Ed attributes his strong work ethic and teamwork skills to his upbringing and early experiences in sports. These qualities have been instrumental in his success as a Financial Advisor, allowing him to connect with clients on a personal level and guide them toward financial security.
