About Me

David Steadly has over 30 years of experience delivering personal financial advisory services to clients. In early 2000 David joined Morgan Stanley (Smith Barney at the time) after close to 5 years with Chase Manhattan Investment Services.

At Morgan Stanley, David and his wife and partner, Suzanne Lengyel, develop wealth management strategies for their clients including investment advisory and asset management, retirement and estate planning, insurance, lending, and personal and business banking services. Together they work with individuals and families to develop a customized, individualized plan focusing on preserving capital, assessing and minimizing portfolio risk, optimizing income opportunities, and evaluating tax and estate issues (in conjunction with clients’ accountants and attorneys). David’s approach with every client is holistic in nature; he acts as a trusted advisor consulting with them regarding all financial decisions as lifetime milestones arise.

David holds both the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Certified Investment Management AnalystSM (CIMA®) designations. Also, in addition to the General Securities Representative License (Series 7), the Uniform Combined State Law License (Series 66), state securities licenses (Series 63 & 65), a Managed Futures License (Series 31), and a Life Insurance license, he is a Morgan Stanley-designated Financial Planning Specialist.

David earned a B.A. from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT and participates in on-going professional development education through the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in association with his professional designations, as well as continuing education for Senior Investment Consultants through Morgan Stanley.

As an enthusiastic champion for the Hyde Bronx Leadership Charter School, David is a six year member of the Board of Directors. In the fall of 2012 he was recognized nationally by the Invest in Others Foundation for his work on behalf of Hyde. He is an avid tennis player, skier, an amateur potter, and photographer. He and his wife live in Washington Heights in Northern Manhattan.
