Meet David Steadly and Suzanne Lengyel

About David Steadly

David Steadly has over 35 years of experience delivering personal financial advisory services to clients. At Morgan Stanley, David and his partner and wife, Suzanne Lengyel, develop wealth management strategies for their clients including investment advisory and asset management, retirement and estate planning, insurance, strategic borrowing, and cash management/banking services. Together they work with individuals and families to develop a customized, individualized plan focusing on preserving capital, assessing and minimizing portfolio risk, optimizing income opportunities, and evaluating tax and estate issues in conjunction with their clients’ CPAs and attorneys. David’s approach with every client is holistic in nature; he acts as a trusted advisor consulting on all financial decisions as lifetime milestones arise.

David holds both the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designations. Also, in addition to the General Securities Representative License (Series 7), the Uniform Combined State Law License (Series 66), state securities licenses (Series 63 & 65), a Managed Futures License (Series 31), and a Life Insurance license, he is a Morgan Stanley-designated Financial Planning Specialist.

David earned a B.A. from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT and participates in on-going professional development education through the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in association with his professional designations, as well as continuing education for Senior Investment Consultants through Morgan Stanley.

As an enthusiastic champion for the Hyde Bronx Leadership Charter School, David served for 10 years on Hyde's Board of Directors. In the fall of 2012 he was recognized nationally by the Invest in Others Foundation for his work on behalf of Hyde. He is an avid tennis player, paddle tennis player, skier, amateur potter, and photographer. He and his wife live in Washington Heights in Northern Manhattan.

About Suzanne Lengyel

With a background of over 25 years in the financial services industry and the community development field (NYC affordable housing and economic development programs), Suzanne has worked extensively with high net worth individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and real estate developers & investors. Prior to Morgan Stanley, she was an HSBC Private Bank Relationship Manager where her clients included entertainers, art dealers, corporate executives, fund managers, and business owners. Prior to HSBC, Suzanne held two positions at Smith Barney, first as a Regional Lending Specialist where she worked with Financial Advisors to tailor customized case-by-case financing solutions for their clients, then as Director of the firm's Lending Desk, Professional Development and Marketing, where she managed a team that supported 12,000 Financial Advisors across the country.

Suzanne holds the Series 7 & 66 licenses (General Securities Representative and Uniform Combined State Law) and Life, Accident & Health Insurance Agent licenses. Suzanne received a B.A. from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.

Suzanne is an accomplished competitive tennis player, a paddle tennis enthusiast, and an amateur jewelry designer. She enjoys hiking, shelling, and ocean swims. She and her husband live in Washington Heights in Northern Manhattan.

About Cindy Fong

Cindy delivers a seamless and integrated experience to Morgan Stanley clients. She helps manage client account-related needs, she shepherds the account opening and documentation process, and she prepares research packages, proposals, and product & service materials for clients. Cindy has been with Morgan Stanley since May 2009.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Cindy was a Client Service Associate with UBS Financial Services. She has also served as an intern with the New York State Banking Department where she gained valuable experience in the Communications and Media Group working on financial education programming, as well as consumer banking, budgeting and finance initiatives.

Cindy earned her BBA Cum Laude degree from Baruch Honors College with a concentration in Finance and Investments. She is fluent in both Cantonese and Taishanese and she holds the Series 7 & 66 licenses (General Securities Representative and the Uniform Combined State Law License), Managed Futures License (Series 31), and a Life Insurance license.

Cindy enjoys traveling and exploring other cultures, hikes and outdoor runs, and trying new recipes. She volunteers with various organizations including New York Cares and the March of Dimes. She lives in Elmhurst, NY.
