My Story and Services

Carina Flores joined Morgan Stanley in 2019 and dedicates her time building long-term trusted relationships with clients and their families with the objective of providing them with peace of mind around the complexities of financial planning and investing. Before becoming an Investment Advisor, Carina was a relationship manager to the executive leadership of Fortune 500 companies with a global law firm. She then served as an advisor to her family’s small business while attending business school, implementing growth strategies to prepare for its acquisition. This experience prepared her to work with entrepreneurs to help them navigate the various financial decisions that come with running and exiting a successful business.

Carina was named to Morgan Stanley's Pacetter's Club for 2024, a group of the Firm's successful Financial Advisors who demonstrate the highest professional standards, first class client service, and set the standard of growth for early-stage Financial Advisors.

Carina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Arizona and a Master of Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is a member of ACG Arizona Young Dealmakers to keep a pulse on the local economy and on the middle market landscape. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in Arizona's diverse terrain and practicing yoga.

    Rising Professionals and Wealth Builders
Whether you're building wealth through equity compensation, ESOP participation, or rising income as a
medical or corporate professional, I provide guidance to help you turn your earning power into lasting
financial security. I work with individuals navigating key moments in their financial lives such as career
growth, student loan repayment, liquidity events, and long-term planning.

My goal is to bring clarity to areas that often feel overwhelming, including today’s complex student loan
landscape. From choosing the right repayment plan to preparing for potential tax consequences tied to
forgiveness, I help clients move forward with confidence.
    Icon Image
    Business Owners and Entrepreneurs
I work closely with business owners to align personal financial goals with the day-to-day realities of running and growing a business. Whether you’re focused on maximizing retirement, contributions through 401(k) or cash balance plans, improving business, efficiency, or preparing a future transition or exit, I bring both strategic financial guidance and practical insight.

Having supported owners through growth, succession, and successful exits—including within my own family—I understand how personal and complex these decisions can be. benefit from a holistic approach. I work across generations to align values, simplify wealth transfer, and help families grow together.

Your Life, Your Plan

Planning is not a one-time event.

Life, markets, and priorities evolve. Financial decisions rarely happen in isolation. My planning process is designed to provide structure, clarity, and guidance as circumstances change, not just at a single point in time.

Financial planning is the foundation of how I work.

    Icon Image
    1. Discover: Getting to Know You

I begin by understanding what matters most to you. This includes your goals, values, family dynamics, career path, business interests, and responsibilities, not just your balance sheet.

Outcome: Clarity around your priorities and what success truly looks like for you.

    Icon Image
    2. Design: Building Your Strategy

Using the information gathered, I design a strategy aligned with your timeline, risk tolerance, tax considerations, and liquidity needs. Investments are a tool, not the plan itself.

Outcome: A strategy designed to support your broader financial life.

    Icon Image
    3. Implement: Your Personalized Portfolio

I put the plan into action through thoughtful execution across accounts, investment vehicles, and structures. Where appropriate, I coordinate with tax, estate, and business professionals to support efficient implementation.

Outcome: A strategy implemented intentionally and efficiently.

    Icon Image
    4. Refine: Tax-Aware and Estate Planning

As your plan is implemented, I focus on tax-aware decision-making and estate planning considerations. This includes reviewing how assets are positioned across account types and evaluating estate strategies to support long-term efficiency and legacy goals.

Outcome: A plan designed to support tax awareness, flexibility, and thoughtful wealth transfer.

    Icon Image
    5. Evolve: Ongoing Plan Assessment

Planning is ongoing. I continuously assess progress, update assumptions, and adjust strategies as your life, markets, and priorities change.

Outcome: A living plan that evolves alongside your life.

    Icon Image
    Planning-Only (Fee-Based) Advice

I offer financial planning through a transparent, fee-based approach focused on clarity, coordination, and long-term decision-making.

Planning is independent of investment implementation and designed to evolve as circumstances change. Some clients engage me solely for financial planning, while others choose to implement strategies through ongoing advisory services.

Engagements are structured in advance based on scope and complexity, so expectations are clear from the outset.
