Bryan has been a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley and predecessor firms since 1999, providing consulting services to institutional and private clients. Bryan has vast experience working with and understanding the needs of business owners and nonprofits, developing sound investment strategies, and striving to create income streams by leveraging the resources available at Morgan Stanley. Additionally, he assists affluent individuals and families with wealth planning to help secure their legacy.

For many years Bryan has worked exclusively with privately owned, mid-sized companies, nonprofits and affluent individuals and families. Because of this experience, he brings a deep understanding of the dynamics of closely held and family-owned businesses. His retirement services resources provide counsel and objectivity to help implement a plan designed to be the most effective for the company. Specifically, his capabilities include helping businesses implement employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), understanding the complexities of Internal Revenue Code Section 1042 and leveraging equity risk management and tax advantaged strategies.

Bryan graduated from the University of Iowa. He lettered four-years for the University of Iowa Baseball team. Additionally, he is a designated Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
In 2017, Bryan was named to The Financial Times “Top 400 Financial Advisors” and to Forbes Magazine’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in 2018, receiving the top ranking in the state of Iowa. Bryan has also been recognized by Barron's, "America's Top 1,200 Advisors" since 2019 receiving the #1 ranking in Iowa in 2020, 2022, and 2023. Bryan holds Series 3 Commodities, Series 63 Uniform State, Series 65 Investment Advisor, Series 7 General Securities, and Series 8 Supervisory Licenses.
Bryan currently is a member of the National ESOP Association, the Iowa Financial Planning Association, the Investment Management Consultants Association and the Association for Professional Investment Consultants. Bryan previously served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Des Moines Metropolitan Opera, and Board of Directors for VSI, as well as Central Iowa’s United Way Cabinet and Emerging Leaders Initiative and as a committee member for the Salisbury House Gatsby Gala,

Bryan resides in Des Moines, Iowa, with his wife Betsy and three sons Jack, Griffin and Duncan.

Rhiana earned her Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Political Science from the University of Iowa in 2020. She is currently enrolled at the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business to pursue her Master's in Business Administration. She grew up in the Des Moines area and still currently resides here with her family and dog, Matcha. In her free time, she loves to read and spend time with friends and family.

    Joe Kern joined Morgan Stanley in 2023 as a Client Service Associate. Joe’s responsibilities include producing strategy reports, synthesizing client and prospective client data to develop customized financial plans, and designing tailored reporting for clients. His experience allows him to focus on servicing clients by understanding their investment objectives and working in partnership with the other team members to deliver solutions.
    Joe earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University; he earned his Master’s degree in Business Analytics, with an emphasis in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
    In his spare time, Joe enjoys playing basketball, skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

She is returning to the University of Iowa to pursue her Master’s in Business Administration.
    Adelyn lives in West Des Moines with her dog, George. In her spare time, Adelyn likes to be with her friends and family, spend time outdoors, and travel.

    Jean brings nearly thirty years of investment experience to the Wealth Management role with the team. She spent nineteen years as a global technology and telecom equity research analyst at Principal Global Investors where she led the Global Technology team. She joined Morgan Stanley's Graystone team nine years ago as a research analyst covering equities, fixed income, public alternatives, and the private markets. She also aided in wealth planning and was a consultant for both high net worth and institutional clients.

    Jean received her Masters of Business Administration from Drake University and her BA in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa. She has sat for the CFA.

    In her spare time, she and husband and two children enjoy spending time on their Winterset acreage, lake time, traveling, and spending time with their goldendoodle Teddi. In her free time she has also stayed busy with Scouts, 4H, and as a catechism teacher.
