James brings almost 40 years of financial experience to every client he advises. He started his career as a CPA with Deloitte Touche before becoming a Financial Advisor with a Morgan Stanley predecessor firm in 1995. “I wanted a profession that would enable me to be entrepreneurial, while helping clients address issues beyond tax planning,” he explains. “At the same time, my background gives me the experience to help clients meet complex challenges like exiting a business or planning an estate without excessive tax consequences.”

His clients rely on him to provide them with advice that encompasses both sides of their personal balance sheets and virtually every aspect of their financial lives.

A Tampa native, James graduated from Florida State University and has long been an active member of his community. He currently serves as Treasurer for the Parkside Condominium Association and is a proud Ybor City Rotary member. In addition, James is a past Chairman of the ALS Association of Florida and past Tampa Bay Dragon Boats Treasurer.

An avid open water swimmer who has completed the swim around Key West five times, James enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife, Julie, their two children and four grandchildren.

With almost 40 years of financial services experience, Jim has helped clients through a wide variety of market and economic conditions. Clients have looked to him for the guidance they needed to retire in comfort, exit their successful businesses, and make decisions that would affect the financial well-being of not only themselves, but future generations.

Born and raised in Tampa, Jim graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Accounting but soon realized that he wanted to help clients with more than their tax returns. He joined a Morgan Stanley predecessor firm in 1985 and has been advising clients ever since. “I take great satisfaction in helping my clients avoid mistakes that can derail their plans for a fulfilling retirement,” he says. “That means providing them with advice that is always given with their interests first and foremost in mind.”

Jim has spent much of his career managing fixed income portfolios for clients seeking income and capital preservation. When not studying markets and advising clients, he has been an active member of the Tampa community. Specifically, Jim has served on the boards of Hillsboro Kids, Inc. and the Center for Women.

When Red began his financial services career more than 45 years ago, he had bright red hair (thus the nickname) and a passion for helping people prepare for retirement and achieve greater financial security for themselves and their families. Born and raised in Tampa, Red graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Finance and began his career at a regional bank where he served as a credit analyst and managed several branches. He joined a Morgan Stanley predecessor firm in 1980 and continues to provide clients with advice that encompasses not only retirement, but virtually every aspect of their financial lives.

“I really enjoy talking with investors,” he says, “but often they reach a time in their lives when which stocks they should own doesn’t seem quite as important as will I be able to retire without running out of money and who will take care of my spouse if anything happens to me?” That’s why Red advocates comprehensive financial planning that can help clients understand where they are in relation to their goals and what they must do to reach those goals within their required timeframe.

An active member of the Tampa community, Red has served as President of Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club. He was also named Captain & King of Gasparilla, Tampa’s famous pirate festival and parade. He and wife Kate have five grown children and reside in South Tampa.

Ana is a CSA at Morgan Stanley. She has been with the firm and has had experience in this industry since 2001. Part of her responsibilities are the processing of documentation, performing account maintenance, resolving inquiries, assisting with Firm services and solutions that support clients' needs that include banking products, and digital services.

Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, Ana moved to the United States with her family at age 12. She attended Springfield Gardens High School and Queens College in Queens New York with a focus on Business Administration and social work.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, Ana worked at the Carol Morgan American School in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and Coastal Energy Company in San Salvador, El Salvador where part of her responsibilities included assisting American and other foreign ex-patriots with their assimilation in both countries. She also taught English as a second language to children and adults at the Escuela Americana (American School) in El Salvador.

Away from Morgan Stanley, Ana enjoys reading, gardening, and preparing new recipes in the kitchen. She enjoys volunteering her spare time at Meals on Wheels, and spending time with her 2 adult children, Christopher and Massiel.
