Our Story and Services
The Winsor Trail Group at Morgan Stanley
Our team's philosophy is inspired by the Winsor Trail, a scenic path that meanders through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Just as the trail offers breathtaking views and moments of reflection, The Winsor Trail Group aims to provide clients with clarity and perspective on their financial landscapes. We believe that a successful financial journey is not just about reaching a destination, but also enjoying the path taken to get there.
We have outlined our team's core values below:
Personalized Guidance: The Winsor Trail Group emphasizes the importance of understanding each client's unique goals, values, and circumstances. We believe that effective financial management cannot be one-size-fits-all; rather, it requires a tailored approach that considers the individual aspirations of each client.
Holistic Financial Planning: Our philosophy encompasses not just investment management but also comprehensive financial planning. This includes aspects such as retirement planning, estate planning, tax strategies, and risk management. By taking a holistic view, we help clients create a cohesive strategy that aligns with their long-term objectives.
Empowerment through Education: The group prioritizes financial literacy and aims to empower clients by providing them with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions.
Community Focus: Inspired by the spirit of Santa Fe, The Winsor Trail Group believes in fostering a sense of community. We actively engage with local residents and support initiatives that align with our values.
Long-Term Perspective: Understanding that financial success is a marathon, not a sprint, The Winsor Trail Group encourages clients to adopt a long-term perspective. They help clients set realistic goals and develop strategies that withstand market fluctuations, ensuring that they remain on track even during challenging times.
Partnership and Trust: Building strong, trusting relationships with clients is integral in our philosophy. The Winsor Trail Group positions itself as a partner in each client's financial journey, committed to providing ongoing support, transparency, and open communication.

About Sean T. Gallagher
While a student at The University of Vermont, I interned for two summers as a specialist clerk on the floor of the American Stock Exchange. The environment was exciting, but it made me understand that my priorities lay with helping people do whatever was necessary to feel more confident about their finances. After graduation, I went to work with a major retirement and deferred compensation plan specialist and spent the next three years advising federal employees on how to maximize the benefits of their 457 Plans. Previous to this time, I lived in Northern New Mexico and fell in love with it. I later joined Kemper Securities in 1992 as a Financial Advisor and in 1994, I transitioned my practice to a Morgan Stanley predecessor firm. 30 years later, I’ve achieved the same sense of fulfillment as my father because I’ve helped clients make the decisions necessary to retire comfortably, send their kids to college and achieve the goals most important to them and their families.
Over the years, I’ve added to my credentials by earning Morgan Stanley’s Senior Investment Management Consultant, Financial Planning Specialist and Portfolio Management Director designations. I take a holistic approach to my clients’ finances and work with them to develop comprehensive plans that help them understand what they must do to achieve the goals most important to them. I’ve also created a proprietary investment strategy that I call Power 5. It offers participation in what I believe to be the five strongest sectors of the market at any given time.
Outside the office, I have been a volunteer with Kitchen Angels, an organization dedicated to delivering wholesome meals to people who need them most. I’m also an avid squash player and skier (after all, I live in New Mexico), and in fact, I worked as a ski instructor at Taos Ski Valley many years ago.
