The CFP® Professional

Individuals certified by the CFP® Board have taken the extra step to demonstrate commitment and professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the rigorous CFP® certification process that includes demanding education, examination, experience, and ethical requirements.     The CFP® professional must develop theoretical and practical financial planning knowledge by completing 2 to 3 years of comprehensive coursework at an institution of higher learning approved by the CFP® Board. About Mark A. White

Mark is a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Managing Director for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He started his career in the financial service industry with Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1987 and has since remained at the same firm through the various name changes. With over thirty-seven years of experience, he strives to provide the best and most comprehensive financial planning services to his clients. Mark works hard to listen to, question, and ultimately help define the financial goals and objectives of his clients in order to create a wealth management strategy that benefits both their short- and long-term planning needs.

Working together with his clients, Mark helps preserve and grow their wealth through the use of a vast array of resources. Utilizing Morgan Stanley’s open architecture and premier trading and execution platform, Mark strives to provide his clients with the most cost and tax efficient strategies to preserve their wealth. These strategies include various hedging techniques designed to limit downside risk.

Mark graduated from The University of Illinois in 1984 with Distinction in Chemical Engineering. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1984, where he now lives with his wife Cathie. They have two daughters Olivia and Aubrey. Olivia graduated from Williams College in 2022 and Aubrey graduated from Boston University in 2023.

Starting as an Equity Trader at Dreyfus in 1992, Edwin has a deep understanding of the ins and outs of the financial services industry. He has held positions of Sr. Equity Trader, Registered Options Principal, Institutional Futures-Fixed Income Sales Associate & Derivatives Specialist. He enjoys working directly with clients and strives to always provide an excellent client service experience. Edwin is a Portfolio Associate and holds FINRA Series 3, 7, 63 & 65 securities licenses, and is registered in 45 states.

Edwin resides in Simi Valley, CA with his wife Bonnie and their three dogs. Dwight Guinto is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Wealth Management offices in California.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Dwight began his career in financial services in 1996, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2014 as a Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Business Banking Area Manager at Wells Fargo. He also served as a Senior Business Relationship Manager and Business Development Officer at Wells Fargo.

Dwight is a graduate of the California State Polytechnic University - Pomona, where he received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Education. He lives in Monrovia, California with his family. Outside of the office, Dwight enjoys spending time with his family in outdoor activities.

Molly began her career in financial services in 1999 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2015. Prior to her current position, she held positions in wealth management and private banking with an emphasis on helping individuals achieve long term life goals and understanding client’s value system in relation to their wealth.

Molly graduated from UCLA and holds her Certified Financial Planner® designation, California insurance state licensing, and Series 7 and 65. She currently resides in South Pasadena, California with her spouse and two children. Outside of work, she is a squash coach at PlayLA, a committee volunteer with UCLA Chancellor’s Society, is the founder and administrator of Buy Nothing Group for her local city, and serves on the Board of Directors for SoCal Squash Association.
