About Scott E. O'Dell

As a founding member of The Wellington Group at Morgan Stanley, Scott works diligently to bring together the team’s experience and the world-class resources of Morgan Stanley to help clients pursue their goals today and their milestones tomorrow.

With more than 20 years of experience guiding clients through multiple economic cycles, Scott focuses on serving high-net-worth investors. He is actively involved in the design, implementation, and proactive management of high-quality, blue-chip individual stock portfolios, concentrated stock positions, and professional money management strategies.

As the team’s fixed income professional, Scott proactively builds individual municipal and corporate bond ladders, including tax-free municipal strategies where appropriate. With a focus on risk mitigation, he and the team individually select bonds and seek to maintain control over maturity structure, credit quality, and the revenue source of each bond held within a client’s portfolio.

Earlier in his career, Scott served as a veteran advisor at A.G. Edwards and as a U.S. Merchant Marine Lieutenant out of Ft. Schuyler in the Bronx, New York. He has also been an Executive Club member of The Naples Chamber of Commerce since 2000.

As a founder of The Wellington Group, Scott emphasizes a client-first philosophy designed to keep the focus on each client’s unique needs and help families build a legacy for the future and for generations to come. He often notes that while no one can predict the weather, it is possible to build a ship strong enough to navigate storms and arrive safely in port. He believes the same principle applies to long-term investing and navigating the markets.

As the team’s motto says, “You manage your life, we’ll manage your finances.”

About Jennifer A. O'Dell

As a founding member of The Wellington Group at Morgan Stanley, Jennifer helps clients tailor proactive financial strategies designed to support them comfortably and confidently through economic cycles and major life transitions.

As the team’s Insurance Planning Director, she serves as the primary resource for customizing solutions that may help enhance and protect retirement cash flows, long-term care funding, charitable giving, and legacy planning. In this role, she focuses on ensuring insurance policies are structured to help clients meet their objectives with clarity and without unwanted surprises later. She works closely with the team to ensure insurance strategies complement other assets and align with each client’s long-term goals in accordance with the client’s financial plan. This often includes educating clients on available options, implementing appropriate solutions, and reviewing existing coverage to confirm it is positioned to meet clients’ expectations.

Jennifer holds the Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation, informed by extensive personal experience with elderly family members who needed care. Planning ahead for this phase of life is especially meaningful to her, and throughout her career she has seen the difference proactive planning can make for clients and their families. She is proud to help provide solutions and peace of mind in this important area.

As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), Jennifer focuses on helping business owners drive value within their businesses and ultimately capitalize on that value as they plan for what comes next. For many owners, the business is their largest asset, and maximizing and harvesting that wealth is critical to long-term outcomes. Because business and personal finances are deeply intertwined, she strives to add value to both by introducing strategies that may reduce risk and increase value well before an owner is actively considering an exit or transition.

The team’s holistic approach is designed to provide comprehensive advice tailored to each client’s goals and life circumstances. Their work is guided by a client-centric philosophy rooted in long-term relationships and trust. Jennifer values the opportunity to work with clients and their families year over year to help reinforce confidence in their financial plans through expertise, integrity, and personalized solutions.

Outside of her client work, Jennifer serves on the Board of Directors for United Arts Collier and is a Guild member of The Shelter for Abused Women and Children. Jennifer A. O’Dell is a recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager Award consecutively from 2017 to 2025.

6Investing in the market entails the risk of market volatility. The value of all types of investments may increase or decrease over varying time periods. The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of sustainable or impact investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because sustainability and impact criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.

7Alternative Investments are speculative and include a high degree of risk. An investor could lose all or a substantial amount of his/her investment. Alternative investments are appropriate only for qualified, long-term investors who are willing to forgo liquidity and put capital at risk for an indefinite period of time.
