About Brad Schulze
Helping you better understand, make good decisions with, and enjoy your money.
Brad’s parents worked tirelessly to provide the best lifestyle and education possible for him and his sister. Although, even at a young age, Brad could tell that this thing called “money” kept causing his parents pain. Since about 9 years old, Brad has always been curious about money and how if he could just figure out how it worked, then he would be able to help not only his family, but everyone else avoid a lot of suffering.
Brad didn’t have a clear picture of how to figure it out, but ever since his days of being the neighborhood lawn mower and driveway shoveler, he knew he wanted to be in “business”. It was not until his Sophmore year at Virginia Tech that the vision became more clear. While home on break, he tagged along with his dad for his Father’s annual review with their financial advisor and boy was Brad hooked. He vividly remembers thinking: “you mean I get to talk with people about how to manage their money, navigate the stock market, advise them on how to make progress toward the goals they hold closest to their heart and get paid for it???” Upon returning to Tech, it turned out that there was an entire Major dedicated to the study of Personal Finance. Brad changed his Major the first week back.
Brad has been incredibly lucky to work with a number of successful advisors through internships and jobs that led him him to his team at Morgan Stanley. Brad climbed through the ranks, receiving his Series 7, & 66 licenses and has also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, learning the ropes of every position. He answered phones, filed paperwork, sat in on meetings, compiled financial plans and has now been advising his own clients for several years. Brad has always compared his career to this point with that Modelo commercial where they show the Brewmaster who started as the guy cleaning the kegs.
Now, Brad’s focus is on helping executives and business owners keep more of what they have worked so hard to build, as well as families with Special Needs to help make sure their loved ones are taken care of. Through strategic, creative planning and personal service, his clients and their families’ feel understood, confident, and clear in where they stand. Brad and his team use their comprehensive planning process to make sure all boxes are checked and stay up to date on the latest industry trends to continually strive to improve our service and advice.
Outside of the office, you will find Brad running around the Inner Harbor, going to the gym, and staying up to date on all things Hokies and Ravens. He also enjoys playing golf, as well as participating in action sports such as riding motorcycles, snowboarding, and wake boarding. He finds a ton of satisfaction by participating in community events including the organization of the annual Morgan Stanley Special Olympics of Maryland Polar Bear Plunge Team, volunteering with the Special Olympics soccer program, running with James and the Athletes Serving Athletes team in the Baltimore Running Festival, local park clean ups, and other donation-based events in the Baltimore area.
