Our Story

Clients become our clients for a wide variety of reasons. Some feel they weren’t getting the attention they needed from their previous advisory relationship. Others are concerned they might not be doing whatever is necessary to navigate the complexities of today’s financial environment and succeed in reaching their retirement or other financial goals. Still others are successful businesses seeking to provide their employees with meaningful retirement benefits, or ultra-high net worth families concerned about passing their wealth to the next generation.

For all these clients, The Radcliff Schatzman Group offers benefits that we believe distinguish us from many of the other advisory firms available to you:

• We are a true team, not a collection of Financial Advisors who don’t know each other’s clients. Each of us plays a distinct role in every client relationship and all of us are committed to providing you with the guidance to achieve your goals and the service to simplify your financial life.

• We employ a comprehensive plan-based approach to your finances that shows you where you are in relation to your goals and offers tangible recommendations for reaching those goals within your required timeframe. Your plan includes your investments, as you would expect, but it goes far beyond to encompass such diverse disciplines as estate planning, lending, insurance and philanthropy.

• Our team members have gone the extra mile to earn industry and Morgan Stanley designations that affirm our ability to help you meet even your most complex financial challenges. These credentials include Family Wealth Director, a designation awarded to less than 5% of all Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors, Corporate Retirement Director, Alternative Investments Director, and Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM®).

• As your Financial Advisor, we believe that service and communication should be key to what we hope to accomplish together. Our approach to service is disciplined and extensive. You can count on us to talk with you monthly, review your portfolio at least quarterly and update your financial plan annually. If by some chance you can’t reach us, we pledge to get back to you within an hour. If you have an issue that can’t be resolved immediately, you can expect that it will be within 24 hours.

Our World-Class Alternative Investments Platform

Morgan Stanley is global leader in alternative investments, offering a comprehensive suite of products that encompasses both proprietary and third-party managers. Hutch and Self Radcliff are Morgan Stanley-credentialed Alternative Investment Directors. This designation is given to advisors who have significant experience with and knowledge of alternative investments. They have the experience and knowledge to evaluate managers for not only performance, but the amount of risk taken to achieve that performance.

At The Radcliff-Schatzman Group, we employ a process that begins with the comprehensive financial plan we develop for every client. It contains an asset allocation recommendation based on your risk tolerance, timeframe and any gaps that exist between your resources and the cost of your eventual goals. Below are the various investment strategies we may employ:
    Private Equity
Private market investment approaches, such as private company buyouts, growth equity and venture capital generally seek higher growth and additional diversification relative to traditional equity markets.
    Private Credit
Private corporate lending and private real estate lending offer the potential for higher income relative to traditional fixed income markets; additionally, distressed credit investing may serve as an opportunistic means of generating risk-adjusted growth
    Real Estate / Real Assets
Assets such as private real estate and infrastructure offer investors the potential for both appreciation growth and tax-advantaged income while helping to mitigate inflation risk over time
    Hedge Funds
Hedged strategies can help manage portfolio volatility, while seeking enhanced risk-adjusted returns relative to traditional equity and fixed income markets
    Digital Assets
Digital assets, such as cryptocurrencies, offer speculative investors the potential for both growth and inflation risk mitigation

Buying, selling, and transacting in Bitcoin or other digital assets, and related funds and products, is highly speculative and may result in a loss of the entire investment.
    Tax Advantaged Strategies
Strategies, such as concentrated stock exchange funds, 1031 real estate exchanges, real estate opportunity zones, private placement variable annuity and life insurance structures offer investors a means of additional diversification with the added benefit of reducing or deferring tax liability
