Multigenerational Practice

The Peters Group was formed over 35 years ago by Kevin Peters in a small home office in New York. Kevin accredits the founding principles of The Peters Group to his parents who modeled how ambition and work ethic were fundamental in being successful in one’s work. These principles are integral to Kevin’s approach and are infused throughout the team.

Kevin welcomed his son, Jonathan to the group in 2013 with the intention of maintaining the pillars of his practice, while incorporating the next generation’s insights and methods. The Peters Group not only aspires to support all of its current clients in their financial goals, but also emphasizes the significance of maintaining relationships which enables the support of subsequent generations as well.

Family University

One of the practice’s strengths is our Family University Program. The purpose of our program is to educate, preserve and engage families in a comfortable setting to discuss the importance of having a family plan. Attendees often include parents and children, but can also include personal advisors such as lawyers, CPAs, and Trustees. Members of Morgan Stanley’s management team can also be employed. Topics include vision, philanthropy, navigating life events, estate plans, and business exit strategy. When including young children, the discussion may focus more on the power of internet privacy, unintended consequences, and financial basics. This educational experience enables families to have an open conversation that clarifies their unique plan, action steps and unifies all necessary parties. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Knowledge is the antidote to fear.”

About Kevin Peters

Kevin Peters

As the managing director and founder of The Peters Group, Kevin sets the investment strategy and process framework for the team. He utilizes his decades of wealth management experience to help clients with extreme wealth navigate complex circumstances using a multigenerational approach. Kevin works closely with business owners in the growth and exit stages, sharing his years of experience in cash flow and transactional matters. He is passionate about helping clients to avoid undue risk and instead focus on long-term planning and legacy creation. Kevin prides himself on being a good listener who understands client needs and can bring sophisticated asset management strategies to address a broad range of financial matters, many of which he employs for himself and his own family. He enjoys assisting clients in navigating complex financial, economic, and political environments, taking on a consultative and collaborative approach that encourages families to think holistically about portfolio management, retirement, estate, and philanthropic planning.

Kevin graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and finance with a minor in business law. He currently holds the Series 3, 7, 8, 63 and 65 professional licenses. Over the years, Kevin has been recognized by several publications for his dedication and contributions to the industry. Most recently, he was honored by Forbes in 2023 as one of America’s Top Wealth Advisors and as a Best in State Wealth Advisor. From 2010 through 2023, he was selected as a Barron’s Top 100 Advisor and for the prestigious Barron’s Hall of Fame Advisors list from 2019-2023. He was included in Westchester magazine’s Five Star Wealth Managers list from 2012-2020. Kevin has also been featured in Bloomberg’s BusinessWeek radio broadcast and print publication, and is frequently interviewed by television, radio, and print media throughout the region.

Kevin resides in North Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife, Elisa. They have two adult sons, Brendan, and Jonathan (who is also a member of The Peters Group team), as well as two granddaughters, Paige and Annie. He is deeply involved in the community, particularly with the Make-A-Wish Foundation where he raises funds and helps execute the wishes of children in the program all around the country. He has also helped the Jupiter Medical Center in its fundraising efforts to create a world-class medical facility in the area and works with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Association and other organizations supporting underprivileged youth. Outside of his work and volunteer efforts, Kevin enjoys golf, skiing and spending time with family and friends.

Wenton uses his decades of experience in financial services to help clients solve complex financial challenges and achieve both short-term and long-term goals. He especially enjoys working with business owners and has extensive experience supporting those who are selling a business or experiencing a liquidity event. Wenton takes a comprehensive approach to asset management, going well beyond investing to address all aspects of financial planning. He has developed an extensive knowledge of lending, particularly with regard to real estate transactions, and enjoys helping clients address both residential and business lending needs in ways that generate maximum tax benefits. Most importantly, he finds gratification in being part of the important conversations in the lives of his clients and in seeing them reach their goals.

After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Franklin Pierce University, Wenton followed his passion for mechanics into a sales role for Jaguar. There, he excelled and developed his skills in working with clients, but realized he wanted to work with families on a deeper level to create customized solutions. He started his investment career at Paine Webber in 1992 and then joined Morgan Stanley two years later. He further developed his investment knowledge by attending the Certified Investment Analyst Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, and by earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor designations. Wenton holds the Series 7, 31 and 65 professional licenses, as well as state insurance licenses. He was featured on Westchester’s Five Star Wealth Manager list every year from 2012-2019.

Wenton is an active member of his community, serving on the board of the Family & Children’s Agency in Norwalk, Connecticut. He enjoys time outdoors with his wife, Carla, and their three children, Jackson, Christian and Lucia. They often spend family time skiing, exploring exotic and classic cars, and playing tennis. He and Carla also enjoy antiquing and gardening and have recently taken up pickleball.

Growing up around the financial services industry his entire life, Jonathan has a true passion for solving complex problems and helping clients achieve their financial goals through innovative strategies. He collaborates with clients on comprehensive financial plans, tailoring customized strategies in ever-changing market and economic environments. He focuses on multigenerational wealth planning, with a particular emphasis on client education stemming from his years as a ski instructor in his youth where he developed a passion for teaching. He enjoys educating clients’ children about financial matters and explaining the background behind investment strategies using easy-to-understand methods. As one of the top four percent of Morgan Stanley financial advisors to have earned the prestigious Family Wealth Director designation, Jonathan specializes in trust and estate planning strategies for ultra-high-net-worth clients. He also leads the team’s alternative investments efforts, developing innovative ways to include alternatives in clients’ portfolios.

Jonathan graduated from the University of Richmond in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and majors in international business and finance. He currently holds the Series 7, 63 and 66 professional licenses, as well as mortgage and various state insurance licenses. He began his financial services career as a Regional Advisor Consultant at Oppenheimer Funds in New York City. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2013 and maintains offices in both Chicago and New York, serving clients across the country. Jonathan was recognized by Forbes as a Best-in-State Wealth Advisor in 2023, a top Next-Generation Best-in-State Wealth Advisor in 2022, and one of the top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors nationally in 2021.

Having grown up in New York, Jonathan now lives in Chicago’s North Shore community with his wife, Sara, and their daughters, Paige and Annie. He is involved with First Tee of Greater Chicago, a youth development organization, as both as a mentor and fundraising organizer. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys skiing, traveling, playing golf and spending time with his family.

Sean joined Morgan Stanley in 2014 after spending 9 years in the field of Insurance and Risk Management.

About Rich Lede

Rich Lede

Rich leads operations and administration for The Peters Group, facilitating all aspects of the team’s operations with a focus on heling ensure a seamless experience for clients no matter the complexity of their wealth management needs. He leans on his decades of experience in operations and administrative management to facilitate transactions across a broad range of clients, asset classes and financial planning strategies. Rich’s background in operations, compliance, branch management and wealth management make him an excellent problem solver. His goal is to respond quickly and accurately, to manage expectations on complex matters, and to collaborate with others to get things done for clients and colleagues.

Rich began his career in financial services as a part-time employee at Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1988 while still in college. After completing his studies in business administration from St. Francis College, he joined the firm full time in an operations role. He furthered his knowledge of wealth planning and management through a continuing education program for UBS at Columbia University, the Wharton School of Executive Education Program and a private wealth accreditation course via the College of Financial Planning. Rich served in managerial roles at Smith Barney and spent two decades at UBS in field leadership roles covering administration, compliance and operations management across the New York and Northeast Private Wealth Management markets, as well as positions as director and assistant market head. He joined The Peters Group at Morgan Stanley in 2021.

Rich was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and now lives in Tappan, New York, with his wife, Tammy. His family is his proudest achievement, and he enjoys spending time with his adult children and their families, especially his two grandsons. Rich is dedicated to giving back to others, and spends Wednesday evenings mentoring youth, young professionals, and military veterans on career development. In his free time, he enjoys reading history books and going for walks with his micro-mini goldendoodle, Jack.

About Kimberly Berry

Kimberly Berry
Senior Client Service Associate

Kim is often the first point of communication with clients, assisting with account opening, money movement and other transactions in her role as a senior client service associate. As the team coordinator for onboarding, she enjoys building relationships with clients from their early days with The Peters Group and getting to know them personally as well as professionally. Kim is committed to providing clients with an exceptional experience and goes the extra mile to help ensure that details are fulfilled any time clients need support.

In pursuit of her early dream of becoming a fashion designer, Kim graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in apparel design. She took on much responsibility at a young age, managing four retail clothing stores in her first job after graduation. While she loved client service, she wanted to explore other industries and joined Morgan Stanley in 2007. Kim has developed her knowledge of financial services over her many years on the team and enjoys the close and collaborative relationships she has developed with her colleagues and clients.

Kim and her husband, Kevin, live in Bardonia, New York, with their daughter and a seizure-alert goldendoodle named Lizzie. Kim is involved in her community and uses her give-back mentality to make a difference for a number of local organizations. Every year, she hosts a Halloween event for children at the Hope’s Door domestic violence shelter and raises funds to provide costumes for all the young residents. She has expanded the program to a second shelter, the Center for Safety and Change, and is grateful to have the support of her colleagues at The Peters Group in these efforts. An organ donor herself, Kim also serves as an advocate for organ donation. In her free time, she also enjoys fitness and spending time outdoors with her family, at the beach or on the golf course in the summer and skiing in the winter.

About Noah Milling

Noah supports the team's wealth management strategies with investment analysis, manager due diligence and selection, performance reporting and annual portfolio reviews. He aligns his focus with the needs and goals of the team's clients, specifically in regard to capital preservation and income.
As a newer member of the team, Noah offers a fresh
perspective on modern investment management.

Prior to joining the team in 2023, Noah held several positions at Goldman Sachs, starting as a college intern, advancing into a financial analyst role and eventually becoming an associate. He also spent a year at PIC Bank, giving him knowledge of Treasury management operations. Noah eared a B.S. in finance and marketing with a minor in economics from the University of Pittsburgh, and he holds the Series 7 and 66 industry licenses.

Outside the office, Noah enjoys spending time at the beach or the dog park with his miniature Goldendoodle. He also sits on the board of directors for a charitable organization in Pittsburgh that provides programs, service and outreach to young people. A native of Buffalo, Noah is a die-hard Bills fan.

Alex works with clients to open new accounts, transfer funds, answer questions and handle other administrative requests. He is dedicated to delivering first-class service and supporting clients with efficiency and accuracy as they manage their financial lives.

Before joining the team in 2024, Alex worked as a financial advisor at Merrill and Coastal Wealth (a Mass Mutual team), and he appreciates the opportunity to move into a service-oriented role with the Peters Group. Alex has earned the Series 7 and 66 licenses, which allow him to handle a broader range of needs directly on clients’ behalf, and he graduated from Florida State University with a dual degree in economics and city/urban, community and regional planning.

Originally from Illinois, Alex grew up in Florida and currently lives in Fort Lauderdale. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, snowboarding, golfing and fishing.

About Marty Massy

Marty works closely with individuals and families on their journey toward realizing their financial goals. As the Director of Investments, he is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of clients’ portfolios, including establishing asset allocations, identifying tax-efficient strategies and managing risk in accordance with clients’ objectives. Marty focuses on uncovering investment opportunities that can help deliver results, while providing exceptional service.
Marty has worked in the financial services industry since 1995. He started as a client service associate at Smith Barney and has since held support roles at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and UBS over the years. At UBS, he also served as an operations manager for the Stamford, CT, Private Wealth office; an onboarding specialist for family office clients at UBS Investment Bank; and deputy manager of UBS’s operations processing center, where he specialized in trade processing. Marty holds the Series 7, 63, 65, 31, 9, 10 and 31 industry licenses, as well as the New York State Life and Variable Annuity insurance license. He graduated from SUNY Albany with a B.A. in communication and a minor in business administration.
Marty grew up Ossining, NY, and lives there today with his wife, Corinne, and their two daughters, Clara and Vivian. He is active in his community by serving on the board of directors for Holla Hose Company #5 with the Ossining Fire Department and the Torview Swim and Tennis Club. In his free time, Marty enjoys cooking, dining, swimming and skiing.

About Elisabeth Traupman

Elisabeth works closely with clients to integrate financial planning, portfolio construction, retirement planning and lending strategies through a comprehensive and cohesive approach. Her objective is to help clients articulate and prioritize their goals, in order to align her recommendations with their specific needs. She is committed to delivering a superior client experience, where the team serves as each client’s primary source of advice for any financial issue in their lives.

Elisabeth has worked in the financial industry since 2004. In addition to her time at Morgan Stanley, she worked at UBS as a senior wealth strategy associate and relationship manager specializing in portfolio reviews, financial planning, tactical asset allocation, lending and insurance/annuities. Elisabeth holds the Series 7, 66 and Life, Accident and Health insurance licenses, and she earned a B.S. in finance from Wagner College.

Originally from Brooklyn, Elisabeth currently lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, with her husband Gabe, daughter Julia and rescue dogs Penny and Lucy. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, skiing and spending time with family. She also volunteers with Lucky Dog Refuge, a dog rescue organization in Stamford.
