The Nasso Group at Morgan Stanley

Our Mission Statement
The Nasso Group
Live Life With Financial Intention
The Nasso Group works with business owners, executives, and those in "the business of family". Women and men, who have the courage and determination to transform an idea into a successful business that supports their families, employees, and our community.
Success requires sacrifice, and you want to be sure your personal finances are aligned with your business and family goals. That's where we come in. We help our clients define success and create a plan that brings intentionality to their financial decisions. We handle the heavy lifting—executing, monitoring, and adjusting the plan as needed—while providing personalized care and attention to short-term needs and long-term financial success.
'Nasso' means to count and uplift, originating from the Bible when Moses took a census of the people, accounting for available resources to plan for the future. Inspired by this, we work with our clients to take stock of their resources, understand their goals, and bring intentionality to their financial lives with clear objectives and a written plan to achieve them.
So…what’s your retirement number

Whether you're a business owner, attorney, or corporate executive, one thing all our clients have in common is they want to know their "number". Exactly how much will it take to retire comfortably and feel confident about the well-being of their family? That all starts with a deeper dive into financial planning.
Financial Planning
Between today's markets and the financial media it's easy for even the savviest investor to feel confused. That's why we create a detailed financial roadmap that's easy to follow. We incorporate sophisticated risk management tools to build you a plan that presents a clear path forward. So instead of getting distracted by market noise and media hype, you'll be able to focus on what you do best — growing your business.
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC offers a wide array of brokerage and advisory services to its clients, each of which may create a different type of relationship with different obligations to you. Please visit us at https://www.morganstanley.com/wealth-relationshipwithms/pdfs/understandingyourrelationship.pdf or consult with your Financial Advisor to understand these differences.
Investing
We believe in preserving and growing your wealth over time. The most important determinant of investment performance is making sure that your asset allocation is properly diversified. We'll meet with you regularly to ensure that your goals and allocation are consistently in sync.
Asset allocation and diversification do not guarantee a profit or protect against a loss in a declining financial market.
Lending
Strategic borrowing can create new opportunities to build wealth. Our sophisticated lending platform offers solutions that can be personalized to align your needs with your specific goals.
Trust & Estate Planning Strategies
Trust and Estate Planning really is about providing an increased comfort level for yourself and your loved ones. We work collaboratively with your attorney to help create the plan that fits your family. And for those of you with more complex estates, we offer access to our Family Office Resources team.
Insurance
We selectively recommend insurance to manage risk—and in some cases transfer wealth. You'll have access to a full array of life insurance and annuity products to meet your unique challenges.
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC offers insurance products and annuities in conjunction with its licensed insurance agency affiliates.
Guarantees and contractual obligations are backed by the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company.
Annuity contracts contain exclusions, limitations, reductions of benefits and terms for keeping them in force.
A CFO for your Personal Financial Life
We focus on helping business owners do more with their wealth. Everyone knows that making your first million feels great and reaching five million feels even better. And by the time you get to $10 or $25 million, you start to realize you have more than just money to manage.
Our clients have clear strategies for running companies but are often challenged when it comes to managing their personal financial lives. Our experience helps guide your growth. Our technology helps develop strategies designed to help minimize your risk and mitigate taxes. Our dashboard enables you to see all of your investments and liabilities in one place, so you'll have a vision for where you're going.
When everything works together, it can open new doors for you and your business. And most importantly, it creates an impactful legacy for your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
• Experience in managing wealth for business owners
• Sophisticated technology to help manage risk and mitigate taxes
• Tax Loss Harvesting
• Legacy planning
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC ("Morgan Stanley"), its affiliates and Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors or Private Wealth Advisors do not provide tax or legal advice. Clients should consult their tax advisor for matters involving taxation and tax planning and their attorney for matters involving trust and estate planning and other legal matters.
If you engage in tax loss harvesting, you must also keep in mind the "wash sale" rules. Under these rules, if you purchase the same or substantially identical securities within 30 days before or after the sale of the securities that generated the loss, the loss will be disallowed. Tax-aware strategies seek to reduce capital gains. There is no guarantee that they will eliminate them.
