Planning Deep Dive

Comprehensive Financial Planning is foundational to our Wealth Management Practice. We’ll help you explore and define your financial goals, and develop a savings and investment strategy to achieve them.

There’s an old Army adage that, “No plan survives first contact with the enemy.” And in a way, that’s also true of financial plans. Whether it’s a change to employment or income, changes in the markets, an inheritance, or whatever, we would expect changes along the way. We will periodically review your plan with you, recommending and implementing changes as needed to help achieve your goals, or sharing in the joy of your increased success.
    Icon Image
    Step 1: Initial Meeting, Discovery
This is our opportunity to learn about you, and for you to learn about us. We’ll explain our investment process, and the types of portfolios we build for clients. The focus of the conversation will be on the values that shape your decisions, your life goals, and the financial resources necessary to achieve them.

    Goals-Based Planning
At Morgan Stanley, Goals-Based Wealth Management means that we aim to understand what is important to you and work together to map out a plan that can help you achieve your financial goals.

Step 2: Presentation of an Initial Financial Plan
Our financial plans should always be considered “works in progress,” but this initial plan should be viewed more as a Starting Point. In the process, we usually broaden the conversation and discover gaps we haven’t yet addressed. We’ll demonstrate how changes in savings, investment asset allocations, and spending, can influence the probability of success of your plan.

    Retirement Planning
Most of us have numerous goals, but no goal is more important than securing a comfortable retirement. It is important to look at assets and liabilities, time horizons, and risk tolerance, and future spending needs, to structure a sound retirement plan. Here are six simple steps to help you determine whether you are on track to meet your retirement needs.

Once you approve of the plan, we’ll begin implementation of your investment strategies toward the accomplishment of your goals.
