About Ken Mayer

Mr. Mayer is a Founder and Co-Managing Partner of The MayerGelwarg Group at Morgan Stanley. The MayerGelwarg Group works with wealthy families, privately-held businesses, retirement plans, endowments and foundations to establish family office and multigenerational programs, estate planning, insurance and investment management strategies, pension design and retirement solutions, and charitable giving.

Prior to founding The MayerGelwarg Group, Mr. Mayer was a Principal with Bernstein Global Wealth Management and its predecessor firm, Sanford C. Bernstein & Co, LLC which he joined in 1992. Before that, Mr. Mayer was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for a NYC-based $100 million privately-held company where he directed the controllership functions of the business as well as the personal investments of its Principals.

Mr. Mayer began his career in financial services at Chase Manhattan Bank where he was Vice President and Financial Controller of the Domestic Private Banking Group. This group included the bank’s Personal Trust and Investment Services arm and its subsidiaries, The Chase Manhattan Trust Company of Florida and The Chase Manhattan Trust Company of California.

Mr. Mayer received his B.A. from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from The W. Paul Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University where he studied Finance and International Business.

Mr. Mayer grew up in Edison, New Jersey, and now resides in Bernardsville, New Jersey. He is married to Shikha and they have two sons, Grant and Daniel.

About Peter Gelwarg

Peter Gelwarg, co-founder of The MayerGelwarg Group at Morgan Stanley, brings a distinctive skill set to his role as a Financial Advisor. With a background in tax planning as an experienced tax professional (not practicing at Morgan Stanley) and financial management, Peter focuses on assisting high net worth clients. His practice revolves around implementing advanced wealth enhancement and asset preservation strategies. Before co-founding The MayerGelwarg Group in 2011, Peter held a Principal position at Bernstein Global Wealth Management and its predecessor firm, Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., since 1998. Prior to that, he served as a Partner and Director of the Tax, Estate, and Financial Planning Department at a mid-size CPA firm in New Jersey.

Peter's education includes a B.S. in Accounting from American University, followed by becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. He further honed his skills with a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Seton Hall University. Earlier in his career, Peter served as a public speaker at seminars for the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education, focusing on integrating investment planning, wealth transfer, and tax matters for high net worth families.

Peter has been an active member of professional organizations like the NJSCPA, the New Jersey Society of CPAs Financial Planning Committee, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

About Richard Bloom

Richard Bloom (Rich) is a Financial Advisor in The MayerGelwarg Group at Morgan Stanley. He works with our clients to gain a full understanding of their financial goals. In order to build long term investment programs, Rich takes into consideration taxes, retirement and wealth transfer strategies. Working closely with Morgan Stanley’s Family Office Resources, Rich coordinates wealth planning analyses on behalf of our clients to clarify long term financial implications of decisions they make today.

Rich is instrumental in liaising between The MayerGelwarg Group and the Morgan Stanley Consulting Group, managing the research, selection and oversight of our independent investment managers. This research is also vital for working with privately held companies to create and manage retirement solutions for business owners and their employees, including 401(k), profit sharing and defined benefit plans.

While at Morgan Stanley, Rich has received two designations that only a handful of Morgan Stanley financial advisors have been awarded; the Global Sports and Entertainment Associate and the Dedicated Equity Plan Specialist. These titles are bestowed only upon financial advisors who meet the highest criteria.

As a Global Sports and Entertainment Associate, Rich works with clients who have unique planning needs. About Keri Goldberg

Keri Goldberg is a Consulting Group Analyst in The MayerGelwarg Group at Morgan Stanley.

Prior to working at Morgan Stanley, Keri was a Senior Private Client Associate and Administrative Officer at Bernstein Global Wealth Management. Keri joined Bernstein in 1996 as a Private Client Assistant and has been working with Ken Mayer, one of the team’s Senior Vice Presidents, and his clients since 1997. During her 15 year tenure at Bernstein, Keri helped to manage Ken’s practice with over 250 client relationships. She also participated in Bernstein’s selective two-year Advisor Training Program, was a leader in the Senior Associate Group and mentored new associates.

Keri earned a B.S. in Finance and International Business from The Pennsylvania State University. She is Series 7 and 63 licensed.

About Jacki Lukasik

Jacki Lukasik is a Senior Client Service Associate in The MayerGelwarg Group at Morgan Stanley with over twenty years of experience in the investment management industry. She is responsible for all day-to-day administrative aspects of the business and plays a key role in ensuring the operational efficiency of client onboarding and the ongoing management of their accounts. Jacki provides team support for scheduling, online account access, client reporting and portfolio reviews, performance analysis and tax reporting.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Jacki served as a Senior Private Client Administrator for Bernstein Global Wealth Management, assisting Ken Mayer and Peter Gelwarg in the servicing of their clients. Before that, she was a Social Welfare Examiner for Oneida County New York Department of Social Services. Jacki is a graduate of the State University of New York, Oswego with a BA in Interpersonal Communications and Spanish. She is also a Notary Public.

Jacki was raised in Utica, NY and currently resides in Manhattan with her husband Mark. In her free time, she enjoys baking, attending concerts and giving back to her community. Since 2015, Jacki has been an active volunteer with The Birthday Party Project where she plans and holds birthday parties for homeless and transitional shelter children. On Saturday mornings, you will find her volunteering at the St. Mark Food Pantry, where she helps distribute food to those who are in need.

About Victor Mihaiu

As a Business Development Director with the MayerGelwarg Group, Victor is the first point of contact for our clients who seek help with account services, financial plans, and investment portfolios. Victor combines relationship management with product experience to cultivate longstanding relationships with our clients. His knowledge of administrative problem solving and portfolio analysis make Victor a meaningful contact for our clients. Victor’s self-starter mindset and willingness to go above and beyond to provide client services makes him an invaluable part of our team. With 17 years of experience as a Wealth Management Associate, Victor is able to deliver the trademark Morgan Stanley “white-glove” service to all of our clients. He holds his Series 7 and 66 Securities registrations and New York Life, Health, and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses.

Victor earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Investments from Bernard M. Baruch College. A native of Queens, NY, Victor enjoys playing hockey during his spare time.

About Tazmin Brumell

Tazmin started her career in the finance industry in 2013 as an intern, later becoming a Client Associate with a small Brooklyn investment firm. She then spent 5 years working at Wells Fargo Advisors in New York City where she became a Registered Client Associate, obtaining her Series SIE, Series 7 and Series 66. Tazmin continued to work as a Wealth Management Associate at Merrill Lynch before joining the MayerGelwarg Group at Morgan Stanley in January 2023.

Tazmin graduated from Berkeley College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Services and Magnum Cum Laude Honors. She is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Financial Management Association. In her free time, Tazmin enjoys volunteering at her church Full Gospel Assembly and spending time with family and friends.

About Seth Gelwarg

Working alongside Victor Mihaiu, Tazmin Brumell, and Jacki Lukasik, Seth serves as a primary point of contact for our clients. His knowledge of the Morgan Stanley platform, continuing development of planning concepts, and relationship building skills enable him to garner a deep understanding of our clients’ complex needs and communicate them effectively to our advisors.

Seth began his career with multiple wealth management internships, gaining early experience at both the Morgan Stanley Private Bank and the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He graduated from Tulane University with a major in Finance and a minor in Psychology.

Seth’s interest in finance was typified by his experience as an Equity Research Analyst for Tulane’s Darwin Fenner Student Managed Fund. Leading the Large Cap Consumer Discretionary team, Seth and his teammates earned a significant allocation of school investment capital toward his purchase recommendations.

In addition to his interest in finance, Seth has dedicated much time and effort toward charitable causes. During his time as a fraternity officer at Tulane, Seth helped inaugurate a yearly fundraising event to support The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), establishing his organization as one of the most prolific yearly charitable contributors on Tulane’s campus. As a high school student, Seth co-organized a winter clothing drive, successfully delivering much needed clothing to a local homeless shelter.

Seth currently holds both his Series 66 and 7 licenses.

In his free time, Seth enjoys baking, reading, tennis, and golf, in addition to time well spent with family and friends.
