About Heather Mcphie Watanabe
Heather Watanabe is a Senior Vice President, CFP® Professional, Global Sports and Entertainment Director and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. She works with clients across the United States to establish and execute on their short and long-term financial goals. Her team, The Utah High Desert Group, conducts their practice in a way that ensures they are factoring in the often-complex financial picture of their clients. They work with entrepreneurs, athletes, entertainers, and many others as their dedicated financial coaches. Areas of focus include investment portfolio construction/management, alternative investments, public markets, philanthropic, estate planning strategies, and the complexity of working across multiple generations within a family. Based on her efforts she was awarded the Pacesetter’s Club recognition in 2022 & 2023, which is a global recognition program for financial advisors who have demonstrated the highest professional standards and client service early in their career.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Heather was a ten-year member of the United States Freestyle Ski Team and represented the United States of America in both the Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. The discipline, dedication, attention to detail, and unwavering drive to pursue excellence in all Heather has chosen to do, are skills she acquired as an elite athlete and now brings to her clients and her team. She remains involved with U.S. Ski & Snowboard in her volunteer capacity as a member of the Board of Trustees, Investment Committee and Finance Committee.
Heather lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and two daughters. She loves the outdoors and in her free time she can be found skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and camping.
