Our Story and Services

Your investment portfolio is at the heart of most wealth management plans, and there is no shortage of advisors who will happily assemble a portfolio for you. Many rely heavily on a simple investment model, or even “cookie cutter” portfolios. But what if you’re interested in something beyond these basic vehicles? You should seek an advisory that performs its own careful analysis of every recommended investment. One that integrates alternative investments to supplement traditional equities and fixed income selections. One that understands that costs and taxes play an important role in your total return and seek ways to mitigate those. And, one that operates under the following assurance: we will only recommend investments that we would feel comfortable owning ourselves. If that sounds like you, consider the Iocco Group at Morgan Stanley. We offer investment advice and management geared towards sophisticated investors, along with comprehensive, goal-based wealth management to ensure that every financial decision supports your overall strategy. Finally, we offer an uncompromising level of service, treating our clients with care, respect and transparency. It’s an approach that has worked for our clients for more than 40 years.

THE 4 PILLARS: OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
1. Goal-based wealth management. To succeed in a project, start with a goal and work your way back to strategies and tactics. The Iocco Group always begins with you – what are your objectives, and what are the strategies and tactics that best align with it? A surprising first step is simply defining and articulating your goals. From there, we ensure that every financial decision we recommend serves those objectives.

2. Frequent, highly interactive contact. Effective wealth management is organic, flexible and evolving. That’s why we work hard to get to know you, so we can understand and even anticipate what may need to change. At least once a year or more, we will meet with you in our office, reviewing your financial plan and its assumptions. And we encourage our clients to ask for advice – we want to be your first call for any decision involving money.

3. Honestly, integrity, transparency. In the end, it all comes down to trust. We build trust is by being forthright and direct. We show you exactly what everything costs. We speak frankly about what’s working and what isn’t. We give you an honest assessment of both your investment portfolio and your wealth accumulation and cash flow. And we operate according to the most stringent ethical standards of our industry.

4. Recommendations we believe in. “What would you do if you were me?” When it comes to your assets, you want your advisor to recommend choices they believe in themselves. And that’s a pledge we make to our clients – we only recommend investments we ourselves would actually own. Certainly, there will be occasions when we may not actually own them – after all, your financial situation may differ from ours. But we will never recommend something that we ourselves wouldn’t feel comfortable with.

Our Process & Investment Approach

Tab Image
At The Iocco Group , we have adopted a series of distinctive practices to help our clients reach their goals. Among them:
Focus on cost and tax mitigation
Everyone wants excellent returns on an investment, but in the end, only one metric matters – did it enhance your wealth? That means thinking about BOTH cost and return. Every investment has fees associated with it. Each has tax implications – often, an investment can lose 1-1.5% of its returns to taxes. Our recommendations calculate the impact of these costs into your projected return.
Indexing strategy
Every investor wants to “beat the market.” Occasionally, some do … for a while. But The Iocco Group strives to maintain consistent performance. So we lean heavily on indexing strategies, tying a portion of a portfolio to a selected market, rather than any p
Risk
Speaking of risk – it’s a fact of life for investors. How much risk is appropriate? It depends on you. For each client, The Iocco Group performs an in-depth risk analysis to determine both your comfort level and the proper risk to align with your objectives and strategy.
Alternative investments
Certainly, one could assemble a reasonable portfolio using only traditional equity and fixed-income investments. However, there are a wide variety of non-traditional investment opportunities, including private equity, private real estate, hedge funds and many others. We dig deeper to offer our clients an important advantage.
Careful, in-depth analysis
The Iocco Group prides itself on our thorough, detail-oriented evaluation of every recommendation. We get into the weeds, looking at all available information, measure it against macroeconomic factors, scrutinize costs and dozens of other factors. And, significantly, we only recommend investments that we ourselves would feel comfortable owning – it’s our ultimate measure of potential performance.
As a successful corporate executive, you face unique challenges. Your personal wealth is linked to the fortunes of your company. Your investment portfolio maybe heavily weighted with employer stock and stock options that are subject to rules of which you may not be aware. You probably spend so much time at work you have little left over to focus on securing your financial future.
We leverage our unique position and our affiliates to source innovative strategies from among the most knowledgeable investment minds in the business. Employing rigorous due diligence to identify, evaluate and select each alternative investment product on our platform, we work to identify the managers that we believe are highly qualified to help our clients meet their objectives. Your choices will depend on your goals, objectives and risk tolerance.
