    About Jay Keranen

    With a passion for empowering individuals to achieve financial success, Jay has dedicated over three decades to enhancing financial literacy and guiding clients through the complexities of investment strategies. A graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in finance, Jay entered the financial services industry in 1992, driven by a fascination with the financial markets and a desire to help others navigate their financial journeys.

    Since joining Morgan Stanley in 1997, Jay has honed a deep understanding of client psychology and decision-making processes. This insight allows him to educate clients effectively about their investment goals and tailor strategies that can align with their unique aspirations.

    Holding certifications as a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Family Wealth Director, Jay combines technical insight with a client-centered approach, seeking to ensure that every individual receives the personalized guidance they need to help thrive in today’s financial landscape.

    Jay is a long time member of Michigan State University Broad School Finance Department Advisory Board. In this position, he helps advise professors and students about the "real world" application of investment finance.

    Jay enjoys spending time with family, his wife Trish and their two children, Charles and Ava. He is an avid golfer, skier, and sports car driver, and a member of the Oakland Hills Country Club.

    About George Hamaty

    George Hamaty is a Wealth Management Associate with the Hunter Boulevard Group at Morgan Stanley. He has 6 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been with the firm since 2022. Before joining the Hunter Boulevard Group, George was a Private Banker at J.P. Morgan serving high-net-worth individuals and families.

    George was drawn to working with the Hunter Boulevard Group because of the team’s long track record of helping clients execute on their financial plans through teamwork and customized investment strategies. His background in helping high-net-worth families build and preserve capital for future generations has deepened the team’s existing and new clientele.

    George earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He holds the General Securities Representative License (Series 7), as well as the Uniform Combined State Law License (Series 66).

    Outside of the office, George enjoys golf, tennis, hockey, and above all else spending time with family and friends. He tries to get to Northern Michigan whenever the opportunity arises.
