Meet The Hudson York Group

About Jonathan Rynsky

I landed my first job in the financial world at the ripe old age of 15. My father was a sugar trader/broker on the commodities exchange, so I spent six summers working on the floor in the pits of the exchange. It was a great experience that gave me insight into how the public markets worked—and sparked my passion for the financial services industry.

As a Financial Advisor, my job is to provide holistic wealth management strategies that help enable you to create wealth, preserve assets and distribute it to loved ones as tax-efficiently as possible. I serve the needs of successful individuals and families who face complex challenges that require sophisticated solutions. So, over the years I’ve earned a wide range of designations with the goal of providing you with a greater number of services and opportunities.

As part of my practice, I teach what I call “Financial Literacy.” I’m committed to ensuring that you have a working knowledge of the financial instruments, investment vehicles, market trends and economic environments that we, as a global economy, find ourselves in from year to year. I’ll also help you to navigate the headline news surrounding financial matters. My goal is to make planning less complicated and more user-friendly.

I formed the Hudson York Group at Morgan Stanley to provide a boutique level of service that’s backed by a global powerhouse. I was named to Forbes 2026 Best-In-State Wealth Advisors for 2026, one of Forbes Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors in 2019*, and The Hudson York Group was named one of Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Management Teams (High Net Worth) in 2026*. Earlier in my career I served as Vice President at JP Morgan Securities (formerly Chase Investment Services Corp) where I advised clients within the Private Wealth Management division. I earned my bachelor’s degree from University of Rhode Island and was fortunate to have spent my junior year studying abroad at the prestigious University of London in Kensington.

I live in Florida and am the proud uncle of five nephews and one niece. I’m very active in the arts, where I serve as President of the Board of Directors for the Colucci Ruggieri Musical Mime Theatre—a non-profit whose mission is to “promote and accelerate creativity in the educational system in America”. And on weekends you may see me on my 2015 Harley , where I’ve been known to take road trips with the Blue Knights.

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Financial Advisors can conduct their business in several ways: individually, as a member of a team of Financial Advisors, or through the formation of a Strategic Partnership with another Financial Advisor or team of Financial Advisors. A Strategic Partnership is an arrangement between a Financial Advisor or a team of Financial Advisors with another Financial Advisor or team of Financial Advisors that has a unique focus or knowledge regarding a specific business concentration, product area, and/or client type. If your account is with an individual Financial Advisor, that Financial Advisor services all facets of your account. If your account is with a Financial Advisor who is a member of a team, any Financial Advisor on the team can service your account. If your Financial Advisor is part of a Strategic Partnership, his or her role in that Strategic Partnership may be limited to a specific business and/or product area and may not cover all facets of your account. The use of the terms “Partner” or “Strategic Partner” and/or “Partnership” or “Strategic Partnership” are used as terms of art and not used to imply or connote any legal relationship.

Important information about your relationship with your Financial Advisor and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC when using a Financial Planning tool. When your Financial Advisor prepares a Financial Plan, they will act in an investment advisory capacity for thirty (30) days after the delivery of your Financial Plan. To understand the differences between brokerage and advisory relationships, you should consult your Financial Advisor, or review our “Understanding Your Brokerage and Investment Advisory Relationships,” brochure available at https://www.morganstanley.com/wealth-relationshipwithms/pdfs/understandingyourrelationship.pdf.

You have sole responsibility for making all investment decisions with respect to the implementation of a Financial Plan. You may implement the Financial Plan at Morgan Stanley or at another firm. If you engage or have engaged Morgan Stanley, it will act as your broker, unless you ask it, in writing, to act as your investment adviser on any particular account.

Morgan Stanley offers a wide array of brokerage and advisory services to its clients, each of which may create a different type of relationship with different obligations to you. Please consult with your Financial Advisor to understand these differences.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC (“Morgan Stanley”), its affiliates and Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors and Private Wealth Advisors do not provide tax or legal advice. Clients should consult their tax advisor for matters involving taxation and tax planning and their attorney for matters involving trust and estate planning, charitable giving, philanthropic planning and other legal matters.

1Investors should consider many factors before deciding which 529 plan is appropriate. Some of these factors include: the Plan's investment options and the historical investment performance of these options, the Plan's flexibility and features, the reputation and expertise of the Plan's investment manager, Plan contribution limits and the federal and state tax benefits associated with an investment in the Plan. Some states, for example, offer favorable tax treatment and other benefits to their residents only if they invest in the state's own Qualified Tuition Program. Investors should determine their home state's tax treatment of 529 plans when considering whether to choose an in-state or out-of-state plan. Investors should consult with their tax or legal advisor before investing in any 529 Plan or contact their state tax division for more information. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC does not provide tax and/or legal advice. Investors should review a Program Disclosure Statement, which contains more information on investment options, risk factors, fees and expenses and possible tax consequences.

11Investing in the market entails the risk of market volatility. The value of all types of investments may increase or decrease over varying time periods. The returns on a portfolio consisting primarily of sustainable or impact investments may be lower or higher than a portfolio that is more diversified or where decisions are based solely on investment considerations. Because sustainability and impact criteria exclude some investments, investors may not be able to take advantage of the same opportunities or market trends as investors that do not use such criteria. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining financial market.

12Structured Investments are complex and not appropriate for all investors. An investment in structured investments involves risks. These risks can include but are not limited to: fluctuations in the price, level or yield of underlying asset(s), interest rates, currency values and credit quality, substantial loss of principal, limits on participation in appreciation of underlying asset(s), limited liquidity, credit risk, and/or conflicts of interest. Many structured investments do not pay interest or guarantee a return above principal at maturity. Investors should read the security’s offering documentation prior to making an investment decision.

Alternative investments are often speculative and include a high degree of risk. Investors can lose all or a substantial amount of their investment. They may be highly illiquid, can engage in leverage, short-selling and other speculative practices that may increase volatility and the risk of loss, and may be subject to large investment minimums and initial lock-ups. They may involve complex tax structures, tax inefficient investing and delays in distributing important tax information. They may have higher fees and expenses that traditional investments, and such fees and expenses can lower the returns achieved by investors.
