The Heath-Grooms group began in 2009 and has 50+ years of combined experience in the Financial Services industry. About William W. Grooms

William is a Senior Vice President with The Heath Grooms Group at Morgan Stanley in Birmingham, Alabama. He has helped individuals and businesses develop wealth management and retirement solutions since 1997. As a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, William assists clients in constructing a solid financial foundation so that they can make decisions with confidence. He carefully listens to clients’ desires, needs, and concerns, which allows him to confidently produce effective solutions to help clients improve their retirement and investment outcomes.

William also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst™ and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designations. In addition, as a Qualified Plan Financial Consultant™, he brings a high level of experience in retirement plan operations, employee education and 401(k) vendor relations. Morgan Stanley provides significant resources for The Heath Grooms Group to help corporate clients with all aspects of designing, implementing, monitoring, and servicing their retirement/benefit plans.


A lifelong resident of Birmingham, William has a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama. William and his wife, Martha, have three children: Wilkes, Julia, and Ward. The family attends Church of the Highlands in Birmingham. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, exercise, traveling and reading.

About Paxton E. Heath

Paxton Heath is a Vice President with The Heath Grooms Group at Morgan Stanley in Birmingham, AL. Paxton has worked as a valued resource for institutions, companies, executives, business owners and families for over 25 years – helping these clients reach their financial goals and achieve their desired lifestyles.

A native of Auburn, AL, Paxton graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance. During his time at Auburn University, Paxton completed an internship with Merrill Lynch in Birmingham and began his career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch immediately upon graduation. During his 25-year career at Merrill Lynch, Paxton continued his education by earning several industry designations, including becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2003 and earning the Retirement Benefits Consultant™ title as part of a select group at Merrill Lynch focused on assisting corporate clients and their employees with retirement planning and Financial Wellness needs.

Today, Paxton continues to focus his efforts on assisting companies, families, and individuals – working with all clients to plan for and achieve their unique financial goals. Morgan Stanley provides significant resources for our team to help corporate clients with all aspects of designing, implementing, monitoring, and servicing their retirement/benefit plans.

When not in the office, Paxton enjoys spending time with his family (wife Courtney and their four children) in the Homewood Community, at Auburn University athletic events, and anything outdoors and traveling. In the Community, Paxton is a Past President of the Alabama Security Dealers Association, a past member of the UAB Professional Advisory Council, a past member of the Trinity UMC Finance Committee and Investment Committee and a past Advisory Board Member of the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club.

About Brandi Mandeville

Brandi is a Senior Client Service Associate with 2 years of tenure at Morgan Stanley. With 24 years of experience in retail private banking and one year in the investment-related field, she excels in working with high net worth clients. Brandi holds a Digital Design Diploma from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Her responsibilities include cultivating and enhancing client relationships, identifying solutions that help meet client needs, onboarding and maintaining client accounts, preparing financial plans and reports, and supporting Financial Advisors. Additionally, prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Brandi has been a successful corporate liaison for Iberia Bank and Glenwood Pecans for Autism for 12 years.

Outside of work, she is a dedicated softball coach, having won the State championship as a volunteer for Odenville Youth Athletic Association for 6 years. Brandi enjoys reading, hiking as many trails as she can, cooking, and giving lessons related to softball whenever possible. Brandi enjoys spending her time with her husband and their two daughters.

About Emily Mason

Emily Mason is a Vice President and Financial Planning Director serving Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management offices in Alabama, Arkansas, and the Florida Panhandle. She is responsible for helping Financial Advisors with their clients' and prospects' financial planning needs.

Emily began her career in financial services in 2014, and joined Morgan Stanley shortly thereafter, in 2015. Prior to her current role, she held a variety of positions serving teams and clients throughout her complex at Morgan Stanley, in addition to holding a position as an Adjunct Instructor at The University of Alabama where she taught courses within their Financial Planning and Counseling concentration. Emily earned her Masters in Financial Planning and Counseling from The University of Alabama and holds her Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designations. Emily holds an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Psychology which gives her a unique perspective as she works to create comprehensive financial plans centered on both personal and financial goals.

Emily and her husband, John, have been married for 10 years and together they have two kids, ages 6 and 3.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, traveling, and participating in her community and church.
