Our team members have more than 25 years of combined experience through both bull and bear markets. We use our extensive technical and analytical skills to research, evaluate and recommend appropriate strategies to address your particular needs and goals. The founder of our group, Elyse Hahner, earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) certification from the College of Financial Planning. In addition, she has successfully completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) program through Northwestern University. Our advisors hold FINRA Series 7 and 66 (Series 63 & 65), Life and Health, and Long-Term Care Insurance licenses.

Our Process, Your Jouney

DISCOVERY
We begin with an in-depth conversation to understand your goals and the goals of your family, the concerns you have and what you ultimately would like to achieve.

ANALYZE
Next, we’ll collect key information about your current finances. We’ll then review your current and future financial situation, identify the likelihood of reaching your goals and address any potential shortfalls or the impact of unexpected life events.

ADVISE
In this step, we’ll present a customized wealth management plan with specific strategies designed to achieve your particular goals. Upon your approval, we’ll set the plan into motion making sure it aligns with your values and your vision.

IMPLEMENT
Once we activate your plan, we’ll set up a number of implementation meetings to ensure your account is set up properly and you have convenient access to your account information. We’ll also interact with your accountant and estate attorney to ensure a coordinated effort.

MONITOR
We’ll monitor your progress and review the performance through ongoing calls and meetings. We may recommend adjustments over time due to changing market conditions or changes in your circumstances to help keep you on track towards achieving your goals.

Meet The Hahner Group

About Elyse M. Hahner

Elyse Hahner CRPC® is a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager, and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley. She joined forces with Barbara Finder and her team, The Finder Group in Chicago at the beginning of 2025. Elyse believes that her strongest assets are her clients, to whom she offers personalized guidance, strategic services, and a tailored wealth strategy. She customizes that strategy based on comprehensive client discovery in which she gains a thorough understanding of the client’s objectives, risk tolerance, and expectations. Elyse knows that financial advising is more than just investing. It is relationship-based and goals-driven, revolving wholly around the client’s needs and wishes.

Elyse received her bachelor’s from Michigan State University and completed coursework for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation at Northwestern University. Elyse also holds her Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) certification and a master’s in business. She lives in Winnetka, IL, with her husband and two children. Together, they enjoy golfing, volunteering, traveling, and cheering on Chicago’s sports teams.

About Mike Manson

Mike Manson is a Private Banker serving Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management and Wealth Management offices in Illinois.

Private Bankers partner with Financial Advisors to develop a specialized approach for managing clients’ cash flow, liquidity and financing needs, leveraging our comprehensive suite of cash management and lending solutions.

Mike began his career in financial services in 2010 and joined Morgan Stanley in 2019 as an Associate Private Banker. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Senior Wealth Strategist and Banking Consultant at UBS. He also was a Bank Manager at BMO Harris Bank.

Mike is a graduate of Roosevelt University, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He also received a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Finance from Northwestern University.
Mike and his family reside in Glenview, Illinois. Outside of the office, Mike enjoys early morning workouts, golf, and playing 12-inch softball.
