      James Moye
      Managing Director

      Jim has spent over 36 years as a Financial Advisor providing exceptional service to individuals, families, foundations and endowments. He began his career at Dean Witter in 1981 before joining Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in 1989. As the senior advisor on the team, Jim is deeply involved in all aspects of the business. His areas of focus include equity research, asset allocation, portfolio construction, opportunistic investing and risk management.

      Jim received a B.S. in Accounting from The Catholic University of America in 1979. He currently serves on the Board of Catholic University, Lauralton Hall and the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. In addition, Jim was ranked 21st in Top 100 Wirehouse Advisors in America (Registered Rep September 2009 issue).

      Jim and his wife, Jeannie, have been married for 35 years and reside in Fairfield, Connecticut.

      Terence Markey
      Managing Director

      Terry joined Private Wealth Management in 2001. He is based out of Morgan Stanley's headquarters at 1585 Broadway in New York City and our wealth management office in Greenwich, Connecticut. Terry and his team provide highly customized wealth management solutions, portfolio management, asset allocation and risk management strategies to a select group of families, foundations and endowments. His team manages equity, fixed income and alternative investment portfolios totaling $2.5 billion for their clients as of December 31, 2017.

      Terry joined Morgan Stanley in 1980 as a Wealth Advisor in New York City. In 1986, he was named Branch Manager for an office complex in New York. In 1992, he was promoted to Director of National Sales and Marketing, Equities, where he had responsibility for various departments including Equity Research Marketing, Restricted Securities, Options Sales and Trading, Strategic Equity Portfolio Management Program (STEP), Closed End Funds, International Equity Marketing and the Nasdaq Trading Liaison desks.

      Terry was ranked #22 in Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors 2018 for the state of Connecticut.  He was also named one of Barron’s “Top 1,200 Advisors” from 2014 through 2018 and was ranked #9 in the state of Connecticut. In addition, he was named one of Barron’s “Top 1000 Advisors” from 2008 through 2013 and was ranked #21 in “Top 100 Advisors in America” by Registered Rep magazine in September 2009. In addition, Terry’s team was ranked in the Top 30 in Research Magazine’s “Top Advisor Teams in America” in 2009.

      Terry graduated magna cum laude from Boston College in 1979 with a degree in Business Administration and later completed the Wharton Executive Education program.

      Terry and his wife, Pinky, have been married for 28 years and have two children. They live in Greenwich, CT.

He and his team provide customized wealth management solutions, portfolio management, asset allocation, risk management and opportunistic investing to a select group of individuals, families, foundations and endowments.

      Gene was named one of Barron’s “Top 1200 Advisors” from 2014 through 2017. He has also been recognized in Barron’s “Top 1000 Advisors” from 2008 through 2013 and is a member of the Morgan Stanley Chairman’s Club.

      Gene has served on the Board of the Columbia Alumni Association and is currently on the Columbia Basketball Advisory Committee. In addition, he has served on the Board of ADS Dreams Come True and Project Rebirth. 

      Gene earned a B.A. in Economics and English from Columbia College in 1979.

      Daniel Finnegan
      Executive Director

      Dan joined Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in 1985. Prior to joining the firm, he was sole proprietor of Daniel Finnegan & Co. from 1974 to 1985.  In this role, he managed discretionary investment portfolios for individuals, families and charitable foundations.

      Dan has served on the Board of Regents at Catholic University as well as the Villanova University School of Nursing and established a Finnegan Scholarship Fund at both schools. In addition, he served as a member of the Archdiocese Financial Committee and was an original member of the Saddle River Educational Foundation. He has also served as an advisor to numerous charitable organizations.

      Dan holds a B.A. from the Catholic University of America.

      He and his wife have three daughters and six grandchildren.

      Thomas Finnegan joined Private Wealth Management in 2008. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked at Lehman Brothers Wealth Management from 2001-2008. Tom has extensive experience in Fixed Income having worked at Cantor Fitzgerald from 1988-2001 and KMS Corporate Bond Brokers from 1984-1988 in their Corporate / Government Fixed Income Departments. Tom provides institutions, small businesses and individuals with wealth management solutions tailored to fit their individual needs and focuses on stocks, bonds, mutual funds and managed money.

      Tom is a graduate of The Catholic University of America in 1979 with a B.A. in Political Science American Government. He served as a Board Member of the Ho-Ho-Kus Education Foundation from 2001-2006. In addition, Tom has coached baseball, basketball and soccer in the Ho-Ho-Kus Saddle River Youth Recreation Sports League from 1996-2011.

      Tom lives with his wife, Patty, and their four children in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.
