About Michael Washburn

Michael N. Washburn
First Vice President

michael.n.washburn@morganstanley.com

Mike is a Financial Advisor, Financial Planning Specialist, and co-founder of The Evergreen Valley Group at Morgan Stanley. He enjoys working with successful individuals and families, providing personalized advice through a disciplined wealth management approach. Mike combines his analytical skills with an educational approach to guide clients towards the achievement of their specific goals. He is committed to delivering exceptional service as he counsels his clients in the areas of retirement planning, corporate stock options, and investment management.

Growing up in parts of Pennsylvania and Virginia, Mike always had an interest in finance and enjoyed helping others. Pursuing a career in financial services was the perfect opportunity to bring these two passions together. He graduated from the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University, where he earned his Business Administration degree. A few years later, while studying for his MBA at night and working for a credit union during the day, Mike’s ambitions turned to taking on more responsibility at the credit union. As he achieved this goal, he realized that the best part of his work was helping others solve their financial challenges. This led Mike to shift his focus to pursue a career as a Financial Advisor. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2009 and has been an invaluable member of the firm ever since.

Over the years, Mike has built a successful practice advising clients on how to manage their total financial picture. It gives him great satisfaction knowing he is helping families navigate the ups and downs of today’s financial markets, while helping enhance the quality of their lives now and for the years ahead. For his ongoing commitment to his clients, Mike was named to Morgan Stanley’s PaceSetter Club, a recognition that honors top young advisors at the firm, for three consecutive years (2010 -2012).

Mike now calls Camp Hill, PA his home, where he lives with his wife, Lana, and their daughter, Eve. Their grown son, Keegan, lives in the nearby town of New Cumberland. Mike is a strong believer in giving back to his community and is an active supporter of Downtown Inc., a local organization that supports the York Dowtown Business district. The Evergreen Valley Group continually sponsors the annual “Hanging of the Greens” event that beautifies the city of York for the holiday season. He is also on the Planning Commission for Lower Allen Township, a role he has served on for three terms. Outside of the office, Mike enjoys being out in nature, whether its camping, hiking or kayaking with his family. He also enjoys taking care of his many flower gardens around his home, and spending as much time as he can with family and friends whenever possible.
