Meet The Emerson Team A Wealth Management Group

About Me

Michele is a Financial Advisor for The Emerson Team at Morgan Stanley who assists Tim and Sherri in implementing the Wealth Management Standard of Care process for their clients.  Michele’s primary role is overseeing the team’s day to day activities, special projects and client engagement events.  She enjoys planning client educational events as well as client appreciation activities which help their clients stay informed about the issues relating to their changing life stages.  Her friendly personality and attention to detail have proven to be a tremendous benefit to the team.

She joined Morgan Stanley in 2001 and became licensed in 2009.  Earning her Financial Planning Specialist designation has allowed her to make the most of her combined marketing and organizational skills in order to deepen the client relationship with the firm and the team. 

Michele stands on the Diplomat Committee for the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce.  Michele is an active volunteer for the Houma Chamber of Commerce, SCIA, and St. Francis de Sales Catholic School.  Michele is a graduate of Leadership Terrebonne Class of 2013.  Originally from Houma, she now lives in Raceland with her husband, Tris.  Michele’s greatest pleasure is being a mother of their two children Rhett and Kate.

About Me

Tim Emerson is a Financial Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager for The Emerson Team serving professionals and business owners with their decisions about their wealth accumulation, retirement income, gifting, distribution, and estate issues at Morgan Stanley or predecessor firms (Legg Mason and Smith Barney) since 1990.

 

The Emerson Team strives to make our clients’ lives less stressful and relieve them of financial worries while they go through their life stages and progress towards their life goals.   Through our comprehensive process, The Wealth Management Standard of Care, we help our clients address the multitude of issues as they go through these various life stages.  Tim’s primary role is Portfolio Manager for our clients’ wealth.  His area of focus is the selection, management and allocation of investments for our clients to help preserve values and maximize opportunities for client portfolios.  As a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, Tim earned the global standard for managing wealth for our clients through the study of analyzing investment securities, markets, diversification methods, risk reduction and investment behavior.  Tim’s designation as a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) further enhances his understanding and ability to provide our clients better wealth management from the in-depth study of due diligence and manager selection.  As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Tim assists Sherri in helping our clients determine financial life goals and planning for retirement income, taxation, insurance and estate planning.  As a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS), Tim helps our business owner clients understand the various benefit plans. To provide the broadest possible investment opportunities for the Emerson Team clients, Tim also maintains the licenses necessary to trade securities and commodities (Series 7, 66, 86, 87, 3, and 31). Tim adds experience and knowledge of portfolio management to help our clients reach their life goals.

 

Tim graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Business Administration degree in Finance with an emphasis on Investments from Nicholls State University.

 

Tim and his wife Nicole volunteer their time in the community.  Tim is a member and past president of Kiwanis of Houma.  He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Terrebonne, South Central Industrial Association, and on the board of United Way.

About Me

Sherri Roach is a Financial Advisor for The Emerson Team at Morgan Stanley who works with professionals and business owners to help them make informed and confident decisions about their plans for retirement and the growth and preservation of their assets.  Sherri believes that the team’s comprehensive knowledge base and experience along with Morgan Stanley’s position as one of the largest, most established wealth management businesses in the industry allows them to provide their clients with tailored solutions for all aspects of their financial lives. 

Sherri joined Morgan Stanley’s predecessor firm Legg Mason in 1989 and earned her Certified Financial Planner designation in 1999.  As the team’s Financial Planning Specialist, her primary role on the team is to work with the team’s clients to create a personalized wealth management strategy to help them prepare for a successful financial future.  Her focus is retirement planning and she helps develop customized retirement plans designed to meet the client’s specific vision for their retirement lifestyle.

Sherri holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.  She is active in the Houma community where she has been a member of the board of several non-profits and humanitarian organizations such as the Rotary Club of Houma, Terrebonne Foundation for Academic Excellence, Keep Terrebonne Beautiful and the Women’s Business Alliance.
