Working With You

Tab Image
No matter what type of client you are, our team of financial advisors is committed to delivering personalized solutions that address your specific needs, aspirations, and circumstances. We are passionate about helping you achieve financial success and providing you with the peace of mind that comes with having a trusted partner by your side.

Some of our clients include...
MULTI-GENERATIONAL FAMILIES
We built a multi-generational team to serve families of all sizes, complexities, and ages. Our decades of experience ideally position us to provide the financial foundation and family education required for lasting prosperity. When planning for a successful wealth transfer, we are uniquely qualified to help strengthen family relationships by including the entire family as our client. Our experience tells us that families who have successfully retained their wealth, values, and unity across generations have done so by adopting the practice of family meetings. We offer 10 family meeting topics with agendas, checklists, and guidelines to help families lead these meetings or invite us to lead
WOMEN AS FINANCIAL LEADERS
Inspiring and educating women to become financially confident is our passion since women are expected to control the majority of U.S. household assets by the end of the decade. Our “The Call to Lead” workshops were created over a decade ago to prepare women of all ages to take the lead when it comes to their financial readiness, whether you’re building wealth, enjoying retirement or somewhere in between. Knowing where you are today and what steps to take will ensure wealth brings security, prosperity along with opportunities to create a legacy for future generations.
BUSINESS OWNER FOUNDERS
Advising founders of businesses has given us a deep appreciation and understanding for the specialized attention required when it comes to personal and family financial planning, often overlooked when running a business. We help ensure your personal financial matters are up to date and in order—important documents, estate plan, and financial plan—so you’re well positioned whether planning to remain active in the business, transfer, or sell. Not only do we focus on your personal financial plan, we involve your family members in the planning process. Here, we help ensure members are aligned around the family’s values and purpose for wealth while preparing for unforeseen circumstances and opportunities that may change priorities.
YOUNG INVESTORS
It is never too soon to start investing, whether you’re new to the Doolin Group or your parents are clients. One of our great joys is helping young adults. Our team includes young professionals who understand the importance of developing sound money management habits that can lead to greater financial security over time—whether just starting careers, building families, or pursuing passions.
We also offer financial education programs, including mentoring first-time home buyers.

For Wealth That Lasts

As a client of the Doolin Group, we understand planning your financial life evolves over time. Regardless of your stage in life—buying your first home, enjoying retirement or somewhere in between—planning your financial life should begin early and evolve over time as needs and circumstances change.

One size does not fit all when it comes to financial planning. Couples in their 20's and 30's will have very different financial goals than couples preparing for retirement or in retirement. Financial planning is a process that can provide peace of mind for you and your family.

While no one can predict the future, having a sound financial plan in place now, and keeping it up to date, will help prepare you and your family to prosper and thrive across generations—and manage unexpected bumps along the way.

    Getting Organized

Updating and organizing important personal and business documents, including medical records, in a single location with legal access given to a trusted family member, friend, or advisor is the essential first step in managing finances more efficiently. An orderly system means you and your designee will have immediate access to vital, timely documents in the event of an emergency or medical crisis. We're here to help get you started.

    Rethinking Estate Planning

Estate planning is an integral part of wealth management to ensure your assets are protected while your investments continue to grow. We go beyond traditional estate planning advice to also help our client families prepare for a successful wealth transfer where their values pass along with the assets and family harmony is maintained. We coordinate with your other trusted advisors, so the right people are in place—executor, trustees, and beneficiaries—so your wishes, intentions, and legacy are honored in future generations.

    Icon Image
    Sound Retirement Planning

Our primary retirement planning focus is helping clients maintain their current lifestyles while transitioning away from a business or career. We guide each client on which retirement plans best fit their needs and stage in life--401K plan, Roth IRA, Traditional IRA, Profit Sharing Plans, etc. Annually, we review your plans to maximize savings and tax benefits. One of the trends we are seeing with client families is gifting a contribution to a Roth IRA for younger adult children to give them a head start with a tax-free saving account that can grow for years ahead.

    Financial Planning For All Ages

Financial planning is a process that should begin early and evolve over time as needs and circumstances change. Individuals in their 20's and 30's will have very different financial needs than couples preparing for retirement. Having a sound plan in place today and keeping it up to date, ensures financial needs and goals are met and manages for unexpected setbacks or opportunities along the way.

    Icon Image
    Establishing an Education Legacy

Funding for education is one of the greatest gifts to give to children, grandchildren, and others held dear. As education costs continue to rise there is a greater importance in preparing for the financial demands of private schools, higher education, and other types of academic pursuits. We help our client families create an education legacy for generations. For example, 529 College Savings plans can be a great estate planning tool that can be built to benefit multiple generations. We work with you to create tax advantages to investing for education expenses, while incorporating your tuition funding strategy into your personalized financial plan.

    Icon Image
    Creating a Legacy of Generosity

Through thoughtful planning, we help our client families use wealth to perpetuate and celebrate an existing legacy of giving or create a new legacy for future generations. Whether you are looking to gift to a family member or donate to a non-profit, we create flexible, tax efficient ways to make charitable contributions. Family giving is one of the best ways to strengthen family unity and subsequently preserve family wealth whether "giving while living" or when the estate transfers.

Our legacy as innovators in client education

Tab Image

Every member of The Doolin Group shares in our core belief in the power of education through the learning opportunities we offer clients and their families.

  • Wade Davis, world renowned National Geographic Explorer, photographer, writer, and filmmaker.
  • Jack Uldrich, global futurist and best-selling author.

  • Creating a Legacy of Wealth, Values and Generosity
  • Health Advocacy: Preparing for a Legacy of Family Wellness

A new perspective on estate planning

We believe a successful wealth transfer is when the beneficiaries receive and manage assets in a manner to foster a happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

Traditional estate planning focuses on the distribution of assets and legacy wishes, and also benefits loved ones by minimizing taxes and protecting privacy. We go beyond traditional estate planning to help prepare the entire family for the transfer of assets.

Our Family Estate Planning checklist gauges a family’s readiness today for a successful wealth transfer by identifying key areas of agreement and where further preparation is needed. We encourage our clients to use this checklist when meeting as a family. By using this checklist, families can guide these meetings on their own, or we can help facilitate by:

• Guiding the planning discussion where the focus is on the process and general estate plan structure, and not the dollar amount.
• Encouraging beneficiaries to provide input on the current estate plan.
• Discussing the key roles in the family’s estate plan and what those roles involve.
• Opening a dialogue around intangible assets that make up a family’s wealth, including family name, knowledge, health, spirituality, family unity and community support.
Wealth transfer planning strategies we offer client families
Giving While Living: We help many of our clients include “giving while living” as a part of their wealth transfer planning now, not waiting until the estate transfers. We have found that parents want experience in their lifetimes, the joy of seeing their beneficiaries benefit and learn from the family’s wealth. This trend in inheritance planning allows for more control over how beneficiaries learn to use wealth – whether it’s to pursue a passion project, start a business, or support a worthy cause.

Family Wealth Mission Statement: We have helped many of our client families benefit from creating a mission statement that aligns all members around their core values and purpose for wealth across generations. We offer tools and resources to help guide your family through this process to ensure your values transfer with your assets
